ryantidgwell
prob is a fantom pregnancy , usually last 5-7 days can get some meds from the vets i have done in the past but they aint cheap and to be honest hardly worth it , will prob just be a bit hormonal for a little while but should all be gone in 7 days ,
apache
The Galastop is very useful if the phantom pregnancy goes on for more than a few days or your bitch behaviour has really changed. Dogs come into season every 6 months and are only pregnant for 2 months so they have no means of knowing if they are pregnant - hence we get the phantom pregnancies. Some dogs seem prone and get them every-time they come into season. Do you intend to breed from her? If not get her spayed in a month or so. She definitely didn't get with a dog - there is one other possibility :(
Mrs Sweepy
My Springer phantom everytime she had the season. We always used Galastop.Within the day she was back to normal. We did find that her moods got worse after each season. And for the sake of my other dog(she would turn on him). We got her spayed. xxxxSuzy

darren m
its been about a week now since i first noticed the teats changing and her behaving different and about 3 days since she started producing milk how long should i give her to recover naturally OR before i go to the vet for some galastop during phantoms do you normally get behaviour changes ? or is it just my bitch
Mrs Sweepy
Hi Darren If she was my dog I would most probs get her too the vets soon. If she dont seem to be coming out of it. It wouldnt do any harm to get her check over. My Springer had real bad mood swings with hers. In the end i was afraid that she would either turn on my other dog or worse. Which was one of the reason why i had her spayed(i wasnt planning on having her done) And with each phantom The more she seemed to suffer. We where also advice by the vet to have her done for health reasons too. Like i said i did not want her to be done . But i could just not sit back and watch her suffer . If it was not for her mood swings i dont think the vets would have given her the Galastop. I got the feeling its something they dont like to dish out to much. Hope this is of help to you. Try not to worry to much She will be fine And the mood swings will disappear once she is over it. xxxSuzy
