Wild Polecat

There is a lot of confusion over the identification of this family of animals and it's really quite simple.

 

"Whats the difference between a ferret and a polecat?"

 

"One is 'weasely' recognisable and the other is 'stoatly' different!"

I live in an area that has wild Polecats. I usually see one or two run over each year

I keep my eye's open as my mate is a taxidermist.

One thing i have noticed with wild hobs is that they are only the size of a medium sized domestic hob.

Of course that in itself is not conculsive, it may just be that they are immature, that would explain their being run over.
