going down to torquay, to fish for bass off of princess.

taking my light carp rod and reel filled with 10 lb line.

bait wise i was thinking rag worm and live sand eels.

was going to fish on the bottom, as this seems to work there, or so ive been told.

any tips?

Live sand eel are deadly, easiest way is tie a boom to your main line with the weight attached. Braid is ideal lets you use minimum amount of weight. Then tie swivel with a length of flurocarbon, between 5 and 10 foot length, circle hook size 2 I use and hook eel through eyes. You will miss a few with the circle hooks but any that aren't big enough go back easily. Don't strike let the fish hit the bait and lift into it. Carp rod with light gear and you'll have a great scrap.
