alright everybody once again i had another nice nights lamping with a friend of mine (shane) last night.

we got six this time so it was still a gud bag

these wer all shot i tillage fields as well bar one.

the first we got in the very first field. we drove in and shone around for a few mins then we decided to put on the caller after a few mins a fox appeared ttrough the hedge to us he came in perfectly for us shane set his sights on it and dropped it.post-12937-1253326617.jpg

we tried a four other fields after that with no joy. the next field we tried we drove in and we seen a fox straight away it wasnt in any major pinic put still made its way out of the field as shane was getting the rifle out of the jeep we tried to call it back into the field with no sucess. then both myself and shane came up with the same idea. there was a gud field across the road that was always gud for a fox we said that we would try that because that was wher the other fox just headed. we had to be quick to make sur we got to the perfect vantage point before the fox. walking in we got there and sure enough the fox was snooping around in the half of the field that was cut for silage we snuck up to the fox but we wer struggling to be able to get a safe shot and a propper view of the fox with the sheep wire in the field we got to the last fence of sheep wire and we couldnt cross it the fox knew that we we der. shane lay down poked the barrel out trough the fence and fired when he was steady. the fox ran off over the hill even tough he was hit. we went over the hill no sign of the fox. we wer puzzeled  . so we went back to shanes and collected his fox terrier and brought him back to the scene of the crime  eventually he picked up the scent and foun the fox lying dead in the ditch of the field.

we headed to the next field drove in seen one in the field started to call but he didnt move. we triedfour diff calls and it only responded to the mouse squeak. came in slowly shane shot at it but missed

we checked the rifle and adjusted it slightly then off to another field. drove in and seen one fox snooping about but he jus kept doing his own thing no matter what we did and worked it way away from us. so we stuck on the electronic caller. it was goin for about five mins before the first fox appeared. it came so far and stopped while another fox approached us from behind it to stopped we kept calling and another fox joined th first fox that stopped and another fox joined the second fox but none of them would come within range. one more fox approached us from the right it was in range but was looking at us from just the far side of the ridge. we decided to start bringing the war to the foxes and we drove towards the first pair of foxes i got to the top of a ridge and stopped shane steadied on one of the pair and fired taking down the fox. i shone around and the other three foxes we left behind us wer still there. we headed for the fox on its own got to the top of the ridge it was behind and the fox was bout 80 yards away moving toward the hedgerow. shane giot on it i gave a few squeal with my call and it stopped looked round then was dropped :good: amazingly the last pair of foxes were still in the fieldso we headed for them but they scarpered into the next field. i was using my mouth caller to try and get them back in but no joy.

the fox that shane didnt fire at of the pair came back in to us it came over the hill but kept shying away when the light was fully on it a kept calling i must have been at it for at least a half hour but persistance pays and we managed to nail tha one to not bad getting the three out of the five that came into u.

we got one more fox in a different field we turned on thwe caller it was only on a few secs and a fox appeared it sat down out of range but another fox came in and just kept coming we had to try get it to stop so shane could shoot it. it stopped and the rest is history

all in all a gud night
