  1. Is this still for sale? If so I'm keen.....
  2. They did / do an American with a varmint barrel, I have one sat in the cabinet, lovely little gun
  3. This is my gun, open to offers as need the space in the cabinet . . .
  4. The mag catch recess is different in the mags in terms of shape, on the 8 shot mags the end caps are slightly different with the end cap coming further up the mag body on the 581 mag. An 8 shot 511 mag will work in a 581 but the other way around the end cap hits the mag housing before the mag catch can engage. To get over this the top of the end cap needs reducing to allow the mag to be pushed high enough for the catch to engage in the notch on the mag. On the 16 shot mags there's a metal band on the body ending where the end cap would on an 8 shot mag, this can sometimes also need filing down slightly though some mags it works ok. Guessing there is a little variance though as I had a spare 581 trigger group that didn't fit my 511 very well but sold it to someone for spares and it slotted straight into their 511!
  5. I have a spare BRNO 581 16 round mag up for grabs, the 8 shot mags are as rare as rocking horse poo, the 16 shot mags are rarer still & come up very rarely. It has done plenty of work and the blueing is worn but like the guns these are built to last. With a very minor modification this magazine should also fit the CZ511. £40.00 posted 1st class recorded
  6. I have just bought a really nice 511, with the best wood i have ever owned on a gun, new at this forum and get a photo on though . If anyones after any i have a set of 581 open sights off of a gun i bought for spares that I am willing to sell
  7. I don't think this particular rifle is variable power, you can see that in the third photo there is no power adjuster where it would be, to the rear of the cylinder just forward om the magazine housing . . . .
  8. I have two bowkett blueprinted supertens, great guns several notches above the factory version, if you're looking for a BSA precharged carbine spend the extra on this gun, you won't go far wrong!
  9. Bit of different background (groundworks sub-contracting) but we pay our subbies around £6.50 a square metre for slabs. A decent slab layer should lay 60 to 80 slabs a day, we have a couple of guys that can do 100 a day, (all based on butt jointing the slabs mind)so if it's 2 blokes it should take 2 days tops.
  10. Just to clarify is that £250 including RFD cost or 250 plus RFD Cost
