bicykillgaz
Depending on condition £200-300 plus £50 if you've got the original stock with it too Edited August 23, 2013 by bicykillgaz
Sean100uk
Very good condition but I don't have original stock
bicykillgaz
P.s don't change it you'll regret it. if you find it heavy try going back to a factory stock or smaller scope or even chopping the barrel or get some sticks and forget the bi-pod. Why buy a semi where you need to buy a new stock, barrel and action and put shiney bits on to get them to shoot well like most 10/22 owners? Sean100uk
To be honest I don't use it a great deal I use my cz 455 thumb hole 17 hmr but fancy a smaller gun when out on the farms something that's easier to shoot from the truck
iain
Chop it down to about 16" . That will help if shooting from a vehicle. I had a 10-22 chopped to 12 1/2" and it was deadly on bunnies out to 80 yards. But I went through a lot of ammo with it. Very good fun. Sean100uk
Any ideas how much it would cost to chop down
Sean100uk
Just thought think its a 16 inch barrel anyway on the varmint plus the mod on the end
bicykillgaz
Just thought think its a 16 inch barrel anyway on the varmint plus the mod on the end Think your right it looks 16" you could get another 2" taken off it though or try and over barrel mod to keep the length down. I would think a semi will louder due to the action especially inside a vehicle. I would see if someone local off here will come out with you with their semi and let you handle it before you make any decisions. You might not like it. Sean100uk
Not really worth spending the money for 2 inches I have a 17 hmr in varmint as well that's with a right hand thumb hole stock but funny enough I can shoot that left handed easy enough from the truck window
turbo33
it seems that when you have one of your first guns you want something real sized but as time goes on, lightweight and portable certainly takes over. I really like very compact handy 22 rimfires that can be shot either hand, especially if shooting from a vehicle. I still like a decent length in the stock but a 16" barrel is the absolute max I would consider, Totally agree Fister, been there. I started with the 455 in .17 and .22. for exactly the reasons you stated. Have changed them for the 452 Silhouette in both. They are so light and maneuverable. I picked up the .22 yesterday, quick zero session and then popped off half a dozen pigeons on a drive round some stubble, perfect Edited August 24, 2013 by turbo33
