Best way to cook grouse?

My friend was generous enough to give me one off his grouse that he shot yesterday and was wondering what is the best way to cook it? I was thinking maybe slow cooker with mushroom/chicken soup and herbs etc or roasting it with maybe thyme and bacon wrapped around to keep it moist.

What would you guys go for? Or any other tips would be great fully received!

did mine in the oven real low and slow.google some recipes as I would not smother it in other tastes if your only getting the one chance at cooking one.some taste a bit of heather my opinion is that's the taste that makes it grouse why mask it otherwise its wasted ATB enjoy
