Moblies
Hi guys,Help me out. Have a Hatsan 900 just for garden plinking with my boy. thinking either a smk 1-9x30 scope or one of these red dot sights. Targets are going to be close so which is best. at some point we will probably do some targets at a club but for close up work which one. When I say Red Dot sight i mean something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tactical-Holographic-Reflex-Red-Green-Dot-Sight-4-Type-Reticle-20mm-Mount-Rail-/400979786717?hash=item5d5c41fbdd Edited August 22, 2015 by Moblies
team tractor
Red dot for plinking as it's lots of fun and he won't need to worry about eye relief

swampyis1968
if you get 1 make sure you get it to suit the gun ie think you will have 11mm dove tail rail and the ones you looked at are for 20mm rail if I'm right http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121532151827?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

swampyis1968
I got me 1 just for a bit of plinking so if your stuck can send it your way
PaulJC
For close range stuff red dot is a winner IMO... However, depending on the age of your 'boy' if targets are the future then getting him used to a scope now may not be a terrible idea
