I thought Oppenheimer was very good, it showed another perspective of the man behind the most destructive weapon ever invented, and his detractors and struggles.
Barbie on the other hand was utter garbage. -
Hi ,what's up?
You can send a PM to me.

4/5 years? Tories have been in place for the last dozen.
Recession is one thing but economic decline and the parlous state of finance is another. Record debts, record taxation. Poor public services, housing crisis, green pledges broken, power generation inadequate, legal aid broken, prison service overwhelmed, armed services under staffed, nhs short of doctors, brexit. I cannot think of one area of govt that is performing well and now we have cuts in standards and attacks on our human rights.
So yes I do put the blame at the tories door.
I wish we had the economic position of the German economy.
I will see your Tory and raise you welsh labour, if you think your nhs is bad look at welsh labor, if you think public services are bad welsh labour is worse, in fact welsh labour are better at screwing everything up than the tories.
Before you wish for labour to be in power look across the border into Wales where labour have ruined everything they have touched and continue to destroy our country.

In 2003 I spent 6 weeks in Hawaii researching why doctors didn't use an $800m computerised patien record system. Eventually the organisation got a new CEO. He understood the system was a turkey and spent $2b on a better one, which the Hawaiians were happy to use. When I returned to the UK, the NHS digital info system team came to see me. After 2 hours they realised they were going to make the same mistakes as the HMO in Hawaii. One guy said, "We're screwed aren't we?", "Yes, if you commission the system the same way." I replied. That guy quit a month later. Then the Sec. Of State for Health and Social Care got wind of it and called me down to Whitehall. After listening to my research findings, he said, "We won't have those problems, we've tamed our doctors. They'll do what they're told." Yeh, right. The NHS has been failing to integrate its digital patient record ever since. And guess what, one of the contractors was Fujitsu, the same crooks who lied about their flawed Horizon Post Office system. A year later I quit health services research as a waste of my time and public money. What's the point if they won't learn?
I would like to say i am shocked and suprised, but sadly that is the nhs to a t

My wife's surgery is awful, phone at 8am it cuts you off if there are more than 20 in the queue so you have to keep calling, last time she called 120 times, finally got through to be told no appointments, took her 3 days of doing this to get an appointment.
My surgery is different, it is staffed by locum doctors as the health authority took it over, i called the other week, no appointments left but a doctor will call you this afternoon for a phone consultation, he called, diagnosed a chest infection which is what i had called for, a perscription was sent to my pharmacy, the only problem i had is when i picked it up i asked the pharmacist what they had supplied, he told me and i told him i was allergic to that, he checked his records and nothing there(the doctors should inform them so their records are correct), spoke to doctor who then called me into the surgery, he told me there was no record of the allergy , i pointed out that i had a mild reaction to it and informed the doctor, and a year later the doctor was shown the large blisters on my body where i had been perscribed it again and the doctor had added it to the list in my pressence, after much bluster he told me he had added it to the list (trying to cover his backside),i am allergic to 3 antibiotics, including penicillin, he then showed me it was there with the other stuff i am allergic to. -

Sorry all but I am locking this thread, it's becoming quite tedious having to closely monitor these threads, and try to keep the peace between disagreeing parties.

Depending on your stance on the reality of climate change. It was a bit bullish by the UK government to lean on the Met to arrest Greta Thunberg......Bearing in mind Ritchie Sunak our glorious unelected prime ministers Indian family firm has just profited to the extent of 1.5 billion from the UK releasing 125 new fossil fuel extraction licences. Google it....all the info is plain to see.
No Prime ministers are elected.

I knew an RSM who jailed a bike for daring to lean against his guard room, and another who jailed a cat who had deficated in the flower border outside his office window.
The Bike was released quietly the next day and parked in the appropriate bike bay, the Provo Sgt who was in charge of the cat reported that it escaped through the bars of the cell and did a runner across the camp, and was last seen heading toward the cook house. -
Watching the news and the great unwashed with Greta were outside the court after yet again being let off on another technicallity, and what struck me was them all wearing shemagh's, Why? i wore one in the military when on operations for the dust in the desert etc, but why is it so popular in the protester world ?London isn't that well known for its sandstorms. Do they all think they are little terrorists and it makes them look edgy?

As per so many threads this one seems to be going off in a tangent so we will call it a day.

The government are thwarted by the civil service and the judicary who all oppose what the government want to do, and the civil right type lawyers are making a fortune using the appeal system to keep their clients in the country.
You only have to look at the plane load of passengers who managed to get a person who was about to be deported removed from the flight, they thought they were standing up for the oppressed and down trodden, turns out he was a gangster involved in shoot outs in the street with no regard for anyone else.

Both car and trike went through mots in the last 2 months, you get a printed piece of a4 paper showing the pass, the actual mot pass certificate is online, you can log on using your v5 and download it if you want although there is little point.
