I have the exact car you're looking at on a 56 plate that's now done 123,000 miles. I have to say so far the only issue I had was poor acceleration and fuel economy, this was resolved in less than 20 mins by removing and cleaning both the EGR valve and MAP sensor. Now I get 43mpg mostly driving around town and I don't drive slow! I like it and would have no hesitation in recommending it. The engine is extensively used by Vauxhall and alfa romeo so parts are easy to locate if you need any

Ford Mondeo Zetec TDCI for spares or repair. Requires new injector on cylinder no.2 - codes read and states "P2337 cylinder 2 injector above knock threshold". 112,000miles MOT until 10th December, only advisory on last MOT was CV joint gaiter deteriorated. This was replaced with a new CV joint in June this year. Interior is exceptionally clean for the age of the car, it has a ford 6 cd changer, air con and heated front windscreen. Alloy wheels with 4 good tyres. It is drivable but as expected quite smokey for first few miles then it's not as bad. Engine was running perfect before injector failed. Excellent gearbox, clutch and great fuel economy. Have now got a 1 series so for sale as is. Has been parked up since september. Has had new driveshaft, fan belt, anti-roll bar drop link rod, front wheel bearing, rear wheel bearing, front coil spring in the last 4 months £400 ono
