  1. I have had over 150 rats so far this year with traps and the gun all have been bribed with sunpat crunchy peanut butter,do not put it in the fridge let it get to room temperature as it gives of more smell and is easier to spread and they also have to sit and nibble or lick it giving you time to knack the little blighters. Crosman verminpell can make a real mess of a rat and I would recommend these all day long. Have fun and remember rats are neophobic, i.e. wary of anything new so don't expect instant results as for the torch and them disappearing if you can leave a dim light on for a few nights and feed them without taking a few shots this will get their confidence up and I can pretty much guarantee after 5 or 6 six days the rats should be confident enough to feed in low light. Hope this rather long post helps a bit all the best and good shooting guys. Phil
  2. I have a few squirrels she is welcome to come and knack for me
  3. Hi I have taken loads of tree rats by using peanut butter smeared on a tree stump, they have to lick it rather than just grab say a peanut and run also been elevated on the tree stump can give you a better shot than on a tree trunk or amongst undergrowth.I use crossman verminpell at about twenty yards, head shot is a must, if you lung shot em they ****** off and you will probably never find them leaving them to die slowly. ONE SHOT ONE KILL !!!! Hope this helps all the best Phil
  4. Hi folks although I am very new to this forum I have been shooting air rifles for over twenty years but have only recently been asked by a few people about shooting mink on their land to which I have had to say "I,ll get back to you " as I know nothing about the things. So any advice or tactics on how best to get the critters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys all the best 410PHIL. "Forewarned is forearmed"
  5. Hi I recently cleared 56 pigeons from a farm with hw77 and crosman verminpel at about 30 yards max, There were some racers amongst them but left them alone and they seemed to ****** off as soon as they realised they feral population was quickly shrinking. All I can say is leave em alone and theyshould ****** off of their own accord. 410 PHIL..
