Well done that young lad!
I've seen pictures of trout with mice in them before and caught one with a frog in it once. We shouldnt be surprised your trout is quite happy to snap at anything that looks edible, look at some of the flies we use!.

Slight problem: 14th of February.
Theres a certain Rugby match on between Wales and England. I accept the fact that this is not relevant to some people but to others its quite important.............

Hi Airborne 9
I'm sorry to say that i disagree with you. I think he genuinely won fair and square, (i agree with you about Zara P by the way) i think he's conducted himself very well on camera comes accross as a very likeable man, and without a doubt had the whole of Scotland behind him. And as you say he won 3 Gold medals a massive achievement.

I love reading about youngsters enjoying fieldspots, cant wait to take my boy out although he'll start with a fishing rod, before a gun. He already winds his Dad up though on return from fishing its "ydy Dad wedi dala fish" (has Dad caught any fish in Welsh) so far this year my reply has been "rhai bach" (small ones)!!!!!
He finds this highly amusing!

You dont know how apt that is, i used to go out with a girl who lived next door to Aled bach, and my fathers name is Terry (seriously........)
I wouldnt mind his money though, he was a millionaire before he was 12.
Love you loads.

Time to stir.....i was born here, all my ancestors were born here. (Here being a part of Britain apparently although its not represented on the union flag) My ancestors fought and died for freedoms, and yet....my Language is Welsh, the language of my communty is Welsh, do reckon incomers to my community could learn my language as well? It would tie in nicely with the Queens speech!
LOL
Tongue very firmly in cheek here guys.

Congratulations mate!
My daughter arrived on the 31st of October (child number 2 we've already got a son Ifan). Mother and daughter doing well, we've named her Awen which is Welsh for inspiration.
No shooting done at all ............yet..

Quite frankly rabbit numbers are so low in my part of Wales that i think i can say with total honesty they are not a pest. Mixy appears every autumn without fail.
Sad that NE though have without a doubt pandered to public opinion, could we see a sudden increase in the incidence of mixy on NE reserves?

Hi NJW
The best place to find out about sea trout are the sea trout forum or sea trout at your fingertips good web sites with loads of fellow sea trout nuts present.

Very nice NJW but my personal favourite....
Night fishing for sea trout with a large fly working quietly down a pool, total peace and quiet, interrupted by a very large splash as a fish jumps.
Wild fishing, paradise.

Hello All
Can anybody out there recommend a holiday cottage in Scotland with its own Salmon fishing within walking distance preferably a late season river for late October/November. If its got a pub close by even better.

Very basic question here: i've got 5 chokes for my lanber how do i know which is which?
They do have some stright lines scratched into them, e.g. one of them has 4 lines, another has 3 etc.
I've only just upgraded from a Baikal side by side so am learning the ropes.
Thanks for your advice.

OK guys this is a very simple question for those of you who are experienced shots.
Which choke is which?
Lanber chokes are labeled:
C.L. **** *** ** * in guide manuals which of these are 1/4 or 1/2 etc.
Also the chokes themselves have lines engraved in their top with 4 lines on one down to 0 lines on another.
Your help much appreciated.
