my licence came through today after been posted yesterday i cant believe it,and im still waiting for the officer to come check my cabinet,i went for shooping today as well i have purchased brand new selver pigeon i love it.very very happy.

do i need to close my left eye when i am shooting or they should be both of them open? as i think with one eye close is much better what do u think? tanks a lot.

i rang up the fire are departement today, so they said the certificate has been issued on the 26 november and it ll be posted today and i am still waiting for feo to turn up for cheking the cabinet so i dont know how they could issue a certificate in advance, so i hope i ll get by next week hopfully maybe in 2 months you never know

oh i a happy for you, as i am still waiting for cabinet check hoping he will hand sgc the same time, every night i go to the bed i am dreaming about time when i ll be on my way for shooping. let keep the finger crossed.

i had the interview on the 13 of october all went well accept i havnt had the cabinet at that time, now i am still waiting for him o turn up for cabinet check,always fit the cabinet before the interview.but dont worry we wont wait long as we did.good luk.

what is the best way to buy good seconde hand gun and where ? as i m looking to purchase my first gun (online, in shops),i live in oxfordshir but i dont mind doing doing few miles .any help would be appriciated.thanks

i have installed the cabinet inside a cupboard in the left corner ,but i have got a little problem, the cabinet got 6 bolts 4 on the front and 2 on the floor i have been strugling to fit the top right bolt as i couldnt plug all of it,there is a bit of it still out (inside the cabinet of course) which i am a bit worry about it, other wise the cabinet is very well installed and u can feel it is strongly fixed when u try to move it, do you think the fire arm officer wouldnt be happy about it?

i dont treat stress as it can disquilified you from having sgc, i had stress last year and i ve been signed 1 week off work but no treatement s been taken, actualy was about my supervisor bullying harassement ,and i didnt mention about it during the interview as i see it normal from my view, can you tell me who in the earth doesnt suffer from stress in this life? i think every one got it.

i ll wait untill the end of the week and ring them again, as i dont want to be a pain for them. but let hope he ll turn up with certificate for checking the cabinet as well, for this matter i would advice people to get it fitted before the interview as long as they are pretty sure they ll be qualified to have one (no previous conviction etc....) like this you would save few weeks waiting. :yp:

i rang the fire arms department today about my application, so they said are waiting for the confirmation of gun safe cabinet installed from the officer (if is been checked) and they told me to ring him up and arrange appointement with him to come check the cabinet ,so i did ring him and he turned up saying he will ring the main office and get them to send my cerrtificate to him and then he ll come around to check the cabinet, and i dont know how long it ll take to arrive after the cabinet check. :yp: .and do you think he could hand me the certificate stright away after he is happy about the secure cabinet ,any help it would be great.thanks.

yes, the day after he interviewed me he rang me saying go head and get the cabinet done and i ill see u soon.

yes excately,this is really what i thought, but you neve know, at least i am happy to hear from you as it make me very happy,and i cant wait to go to the shop and grab the right gun, i m already looking for it, i ll try to contact them tomorow and see if i can arrang an appointment as soon as possible.

Hi,i have applied for my sgc on 14 october 08 thame valley police , on 13 november the Fao turn up for interview i have shown him prove to have it,as i mentioned to him that i am BASC member and i am doing some clay shooting with rented gun,so he said it should be fine, thing is i didnt have the gun cabinet instaled when he came for visit then he asked me to get one which i have done it and i rang him up to inform him that the cabinet is ready for check,he didnt say any thing, as i am bit worried when the he ll come for checking the cabinet as it may delay my certificate process, i have other question, do they check the criminal record or any conviction on the computer and doctor check before they send the fire arm enquiry officer for interview or after? and how long do you reckon my certificate shout take to arrive? any help it would be very appriciate it.tahnk you.
