  8. Has anyone got a spare ferret finder collar for the mark 2 locator? I can't afford the price of the new ones.
  9. I've been down there twice a day, told the farmers and even the people at the nearest pub, I really don't want to loose him,
  10. You've got PM Salisburykeeper. :yp:
  11. I was using a collar, he went down 15 feet and latched onto a rabbit. It was too deep to dig out. I waited for 3 hours till it was dark before leaving. I put his carry box in the hedge with the door open incase he came out in the night. I went back the next the morning but there was no sign of him.
  12. Can anyone help me?? I recently lost my Hob Sid, it was a really sad day as I have never lost one before. I had hand reared him from birth with the help of my son. I now only have my Jill and she is really missing the company. Has anyone got any spare ferrets that can come to a really good home? I live in Leicester and don't mind traveling up to 50 miles. Please help.. :yp:
  13. I start with 7 hoops on the ring and then add 1 loop per row untill you get to 16. Then make another 16 and start loseing a loop per row untill your back to 7 (which you tie round your ring. This way you save a lot of money on hemp string they fit well in your sky rocket.

Just put out a couple of nets for the first time yesterday and was gob smacked to find a load of huge signals. Does anyone know if a license is needed to do this and where to get one from??
  15. Keep to 2 or 3 clumps of decoys close together, you'll get a couple of shots off, but they'll soon know your there. Best go down pub on clear days.
  16. Hi mate, nice to meet new chaps. I like to put my magnet just ahead of the middle decoy of an arrow head formation. I find it pulls the birds in through the middle of the decoys and slows them down infront of you. Don't expect them to land, sometimes it'll spooke them. I find there best when the tasty fat chicks have just fledged and are oblivious to the magnets. Just watch them change, as they are fast learners.
  17. She is a nice bit of kit, but since I got my 303 supersport semi I never use the over under. So I may as well get rid.
  18. Sarriugarte, over / under with auto safety, multi chokes and ejectors. Good condition, shoots and feels great. 28 inch barrel, 45 inchs in length. Try before you buy if collecting or I'm willing to travel a bit to deliver or meet half way.(Based in Leicester). £200
  19. Cheers, I'll try and find him.
  20. My mate is starting up shooting and wants a cabinet, can anyone help? Cheeper the better. Midlands area please.
  21. Ok, they have a new home now. Thanks for your help.
  22. They are calm ish, The old boy didn't handle them much so they did nip a bit. Since I've had them they have started to calm down. I dont mind driving 30 odd miles to drop them off.
  23. I've been asked to find a home for 2 ferrets. I have enough of my own and the old boy who owned these is getting on and can't look after them anymore. One is a polecat jill the other is a yellow hob. I have worked both and they are very good at their jobs. The jill is about a 10 months old and the hob is 2 years old. They both have all their bonking bits intact. They are both from good working stock. If anyone is interested PM me and I can send pics if needed. I won't take money for them, but they must go to a good home. Im in Leicestershire and don't mind meeting half way as long as your not too far away. Cheers me ducks.
