MTB Ride most diciplines! studying Agriculture at Moulton College. Own a Bsa supersport Air rifle, hasnt had much use recently... but has its place! also Have my SGC and own a Hatsan escort, only really shoot pigeon and rabbit but am looking to diversify, Need to buy a O/U or SbS first, will be shooting more clays at sywell range soon!
  1. Hello, I am waiting to receive some parts for my hatsan escort. It is going to take 5-6 weeks, I'n the mean time has anyone got a locking block spare that I can either borrow until I get my parts or buy. Cheers!
  2. Went shooting yesterday only shot two pigeons. Driving home however we saw hundreds sitting on the edge of the road and in the villages on the wires and roofs, we saw more in urban areas than we saw all day in the field..... will pigeon shooting still be the same? or is this just a seasonal change and as soon as the new crops are up pigeons will be in abundance again?
  3. Excellent selection, very interesting man with a vast collection of anything you want, went to buy one gun but took a liking to a different one so got that. definately have a visit, brilliant prices and overall nice chap.

  4. Oops didnt mean to post that in the comments! sorry pal!

  5. Hi mate. I was looking at your Ego boxlock shotgun, I live in Moulton in northampton how far away are you from here? it says on Google maps 20 mins from here to Kettering. if I collect would you accept £80 for it? or have you got any other 12g for a similar price? Cheers, Bernard.

  6. Thanks guys, I did go to a world class coach to get an idea of what gun fit I needed, he pointed out after I told him i was right eye dominant that he thought i was in-fact left eye dominant... I will go and do some dry mounting and look at objects in the distance as suggested, I will also go and see the coach again so he can tell me what I should do and to work out my problem. cheers
  7. I did try this out mounting to my left shoulder etc, however strangely I found my right eye was then the dominant one....!!! As i was looking at the bead from right eye across. annyoing... YES!
  8. I may aswell try the same things as you... never know, what have you tried? hopefully this post will help the both of us!
  9. Hi lads, im left eye dominant and shoot from my right shoulder. I normally close my left eye but find it annoying screwing my face up to wink, whats a good way to overcome this and be able to keep both eyes open? i mainly shoot pigeons so would also like my peripheral vision available along with less hassle closing eyes for the snap shooting involved. Will a easy hit type bead overcome the problem? all ideas would be much appreciated.
  10. I had a bird like this today.... it had two of them looked like they were in the crop, either side of the crop was a tumour type thing like you describe?!
