  1. i quote "?" well i have just got another message from you stating i can have for the agreed £350, some confusion going on at your end. but you still havent sent me your address, phone number, etc etc. no, not interested anymore too much messing about.
  2. so what's going on here then? I already offered £350 cash for the above rifle & offered to collect on saturday with full cash payment. i was told someone else had offered a part ex (which was not preferential) so my offer was accepted. i twice sent p.m's requesting sellers postcode & phone number so i had plenty of time to arrange directions etc & so i was properly organised, there was some correspondence with a guy stating it was his son's gun. as there are two rifles for sale from two family members, i have heard nowt else after a few days & now the gun has been reduced to what i offered to pay anyway. above all else i supplied my mobile number, so i am erm, very confused and think i will just pick another rifle. yep i know this is not a forum post-and i cant be banned for stating the truth can i.
  3. i bought realtree tape, big mistake, it's about 2inch wide, and you get the same pattern on the whole roll-you cannot match it up! besides that, it just looked a mess so i removed it and binned the rest, would suggest camo gun sock-because the only rifles they dont seem suitable for are underlevers-because of the lever & the breach area would have to be cut out. there are how to guides on the web. good luck.
  4. i am curious to know about the legality of that too, far as i can see in my narrow minded view-they are just like gray squirrels, legal quarry or not?
  5. i got it too, in my P.M box, said Administrator important new forum rules, tried to open bt my p.c just will not open it, tried to pm back (thinking i had done something wrong on a board!) but then searched for it here on the site, found this topic-was this poster a former "member" of this site then? will just go back and delete it now. will now be wondering when i get a P.M from a moderator or Administrator, is it real!
  6. did a review for everyones benefit, dont want to post it twice on same website, so here is the link if anyones interested http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...mp;#entry726165
  7. No you cannot use Firearms there yet, well yes, shotguns you can for the clay shoot-but as for rimfire-centrefire, then NO! Had a good chat with the guy there in the Shotgun/rifle section think his name is Frank?, he's very helpful though-he answered a few questions like that for me. Hope that clears that up then.
  8. Myself & two friends (shooting Buddies) went to Euroguns, today with the intention of joining their Air-Rifle Club, as members if we liked it enough. We needed somewhere within a reasonable distance to home, Euroguns is about a 40 minute drive from Burton Upon Stather, where one of us lives. Euroguns is out in the middle of nowhere (which is good) Euroguns Website is professional & tempted us enough to visit them. We arrived, had a quick look around. Then went & got our “Day Ticket’s†from the Air-Gun shop (£5). We then had a more thorough look around the site, the layout of the inside was well presented & well stocked with most things you could want to buy. The range of goods for sale was truly vast & impressed us 3. The range of Firearms was immense; it’s a very well stocked shop! As for the indoor 10-metre range upstairs it was handy when it rained! The outdoor range was set out at one end of a small pond (plinking Range)- The plinking range was entertaining twice-whilst we were there. There was a clay shooting area, but I don’t have a Firearms Licence-so have only ever fired legal powered Air Guns. So have no idea how much fun Clay can be. The main thing we were excited about was to be the HFT, range as it is referred to on their Website. We were under the impression (from forums) that a HFT was kind of like a trail you follow, through a wooded type of area, coming across metal targets situated in trees, dotted about all over the place, and you work your way round the course 2/3 hours? We were very disappointed that the HFT range was basically 15 lanes/stop-offs laid out in an L-shape along 2 sides of what appeared to be a grazing paddock/field. Sorry! But that’s what it seemed to be to us. There was a lot of land/Acres to the place, so maybe they should think about improving the HFT course soon. Did we join the Air-Gun Club after the day? No, not one of us. However we agreed we might go back again a couple of times this year, only on the day ticket though. The buildings housing the Foyer, Café & shop were very well done though, so credit where it’s due. I’d give it (personally) 6/10 and if they made a bit more effort with the HFT course, I’d give it 8/10. Conclusion has good & bad points, but I would recommend a day there. Ps, it could possibly be made one of the best Air Rifle Clubs in the Country- If they put a few more ranges in there, & they have been established 25 years now. Speculate to accumulate! (More things to do will mean more members.) http://www.euroguns.co.uk/
  9. Hi, there just wanted to add to this site what seems to be a good place to shoot in the north east region. Forgive me if you are already aware of this place, but for those of you like me, who have nowhere to shoot vermin. Then this Air Rifle shooting Club has to be a god send. As suggested, did find a local club near me. They offer indoor/outdoor ranges FT & HFT, have a clubhouse, acres of land & although the membership fee sounds quite a lot at £60 per year, it does equal about just under a pound a week, but they do offer a £5 dayticket, so you can try the place out. It also has an on site gunshop. Myself & three other guy's will be going for most of the day on this coming good friday to have a look on the day ticket. You guys on here probably are already familiar with the place, it is called Eurogun's, near Doncaster. If at all interested, it's well worth a click. this goes to the air rifle section, worth checking the main sections of the site though. http://www.euroguns.co.uk/acatalog/AIR_ ... RANGE.html
  10. Thanks, it is very nice of you to offer-However I can't accept. I only need to get the mags from someone a bit closer to me-like when i am out and about. please do not be offended! it saves the hassle of postage & Packing, plus costs (about a tenner!) and it's a long way til next payday, cos i am on the monthly! ***no worries now been sorted out***
  11. Hi, does anyone within a reasonable distance of Brigg/S****horpe area have a stack of old airgun magazines such as airgunner, Airgun world that they were going to throw out? I will gladly collect, as myself & 3 mates, are taking up the sport/hobby and want to do some good reading, it is mosly just to check out the adverts for equipment, read the stories and generally get a bit more clued up on what has changed over the last few years. I am returning to air-gunning, and two of the others are newbies. can only collect for free! no fee either way, can probably get you a free tin of pellets or something though! you need to p.m me if you are kind enough to offer.
  12. keep in touch, am subscribed to this thread. I will be interested to know how you get on. Best of luck.
  13. Patience, patience & more patience! Still at least you get to go shooting Ryan, Your Friend may not be an ideal Shooting Buddy, but at least he takes you with him. so something is better than nothing.Hopefuly one day very soon, someone will offer you somewhere better & that someone may be a little more enthusiastic. Door knocking & the knock-back's havent changed in the 10 years or so since i gave it up since last time...However, there are very helpful people on here. I honestly hope something comes up, i dont want to give up shooting again-i have to try hard because me and my 3 mates (who all work together at the same place) want to do this as a foursome, with that kind of group, no vermin problem would be too big, and even if one of us was sick/holiday etc there would still be enough of us to keep things under control on the land we would have permission for. we want to build an outstanding reputation for our group in this part of the county, so we get plenty of recommendations. This would allow us to draft in other people from the area, who can be trusted-then we can get them places to shoot, this will help keep a good balance. will definatly contact you Ryan, if/when we have good news for you. keep your chin up.
  14. Harv, thanks for the tips mate. Obviously I/we are very keen. Rabbits is the favourite quarry for us, however pigeons,Rats,Grey Squirrels are all good alternatives-we are open to all offers! The golf courses, tried 2 and the Green Keepers-did not seem keen at all-said he would put it before the commitee members, other said no outright. will keep trying, though! (old shooters never die, they just get older & more grumpy!) Pro tom1 is newest post, now. will p.m you in a minute. you're a star my friend!
