  1. Yeah well said, the original netting is great and much thicker than a lot of the copies that are around now. Even the reputable well known companies are flogging the cheap stuff now and its rubbish in comparison, just like the stuff in the first video link. The original is WAY better, but having said this, mine is still covered in elastic bands, (a little trick learned in the Marines) so I can attach bits of foliage from my surrounding environment very quickly, so as to blend in even better. I would say its a great investment but ya need to shop around for the better stuff. ATB, Jase.
  2. I have found this post pretty damn amusing, I do admit to owning the MK 3 Datsun and it is an excellent value for money bit of kit. It is of course a tool for a specific job and that job being a rough shooting bramble basher that you don’t need to worry about damaging the blueing or the walnut etc. I think that the bad press came from the MK1 models but as with anything Hatsan have had to listen to feedback from the punters and RFD's and improve their standards accordingly. There never going to be the best bit of kit but as a starter semi or budget gun I reckon you can’t go wrong imho. I have owned a 303 semi and the welding was particularly poor quality so when it broke I got rid of it in favour of the Datsun, as I have used several and never been disappointed......It suits my needs...no more no less and it has yet to fail me as did the MK2 that I previously owned. But to be honest even if it did jam on the odd occasion...so what? I would have missed a pigeon..No big deal ! As long as it is safe to use and not unduly problematic then hay ho, it was only a couple of hundred quid, n what’s that ? A couple of nights on the lash ?? Also I must state that I found the following quote highly amusing....considering that the poster has now been banned hahahaha

Freakmode...Im gunna miss her when she's gone...like you say they're a lot of car for the money and the LPG is a BIG BIG bonus, but Ive also got an Astra SRI for running about in and were expecting girl number 3, so Ive had instructions from the missus to get rid of both and invest in a "sensible" estate Thanks for wishing me good luck. All the best and happy hunting mate, Jase.

  8. Just spotted the posts about Arthur Turners.....(sorry not been on much due to connection problems). Mick Dixon is the Guy who used to run the shop and he now trades from Home...He still sells Airguns, FAC and SG's etc along with the usual gun shop stuff. Its not really a type of set up where you can browse the shop as it is a converted garage with walk in safe for all the guns and ammo etc. However, he has no overheads so you can generaly haggle Mick down to a very good price and he will always order you stuff in if he has'nt already got it. You can get hold of him on 01142401634 and he is located between Grenoside and Burncross at 46, Barneshall Rd, Sheffield S35 1RF Hope this helps. Happy hunting Guys, Jase
  9. Ey up fellas, Just a thought that Ive had ......(can ya smell the burning?) We should all get to gether on here and arrange to share shoots at some point....We all know how hard it is to get permission these days and as we all live local to each other we could arrange amongst ourselves to share our shoots for a day/few hours here n there. Some of us might have loads of rats and we can swop with someone who has loads of bunnies for example.... this way we can all get a different shooting experience and make some good friends along the way. Also if someone has loads of pigeons hammering a crop and they cant keep up with em, knowing someone to jump on with you and help out for a day here n there will help to keep you in the Farmers good books....and Im sure the same goes for rats n bunnies etc Obviously insurance and safety may be a concern here but I'm sure we can all sort that out amongst ourselves and decide who's who and whats what. After all if we are invited on someone elses permission for a day, I'm sure we wont mind being told some ground rules and do's and dont's before we start shooting, purely out of respect for the host and his permission. I just think that this may open up some great opportunies for us that we may never have had if we hadn't ever given it a go. Let me know your thought Guys n Gals. Happy hunting. Jase.
  10. Thank you for your interest but Podge and the hutch has now gone....not sold but given away by the silly mare that I call a Wife whilst I was out pigeon shooting for the day !!! Someone please hide my guns
