most types of shooting, not really into clays as i can't eat them!
  1. sorry, no pics, standard length of pull, ie factory dimensions.
  2. i have for sale a beretta 390 silver mallard 20 bore semi-auto, multi choke, 26" barrel. immaculate condition, looks like its hardly fired any shells, complete with 3 chokes, choke key, shims to alter drop/cast of stock and original instructions. this gun would suit a lady or youth due to its light weight although it has not been altered in any way( ie, stock shortened). genuine reason for sale. oops forgot price...looking for around £525 or sensible offers.
  3. with reference to which wellies to buy?, i've had most of the major manufacturers over the years. chameau vega have been the most comfortable and lasted well., chameau vierzonord neoprene were ok but perished after a couple of years.hunter glen trool with leather and full zip were ok but started to leek a the bottom of the zip. aigle parcours iso are very popular amoung my friends and seem to last, however no wellies can withstand treatment from thorns, brambles and dreaded barbed wire. my most recent pair were la crosse alphaburly sports, very warm, a little bulky. very comfortable, but, never again will i buy la crosse. after limited wear they've split up all rear of calf seams, it looks like they're not layered rubber like other wellies but moulded to look like layers. bloody ****. next pair will be aigle parcours iso! ps, i spend most of my life in wellies and i couldn't wear the cheaper plastic ones all day every day, although they are surely the most durable. ( heard mixed reports about hunter new balmoral, they look like they could be good).
  4. i'll take a bit less for a quick sale, i don't want to keep a gun that i won't use.
  5. for sale investarm 20 bore over and under single trigger non ejector. don't know much about this gun, in good condition. taken as part of a deal for another gun, so surplus to requirements. would suit youth or lady as the stock is shorter than usual.
  6. my mates just bought a new webley and scott side by side 712 multi choke, does anyone know why the full and3/4 chokes are a different colour and maybe material than the rest of the chokes. also the tighter two chokes are marked "steel shot" and the others aren't? the gunsmith says its because they shouldn't be used for steel shot, as we should know tighter chokes can cause over restriction when using steel shot, but i can't understand why they would be marked for steel shot???
  7. when i first applied, many years ago, my license had named land on it, however after the first renewal it was unrestricted without me asking. but back to the point, i gave a friend of mine a letter to deer stalk by invitation for his first application to add to his other letter and his certificate was issued without restriction.
  8. hi, i'm new to the forum malarky, hope to glean some useful info in the future, nice to be part of national, like minded community. looks like a great place for winning purchases too. decoying pigeons on a bean field tomorrow, they're eating the young shoots as they emerge through the soil.
