Hi there, my nephew is 16, and id dead keen to get an FAC, he comes shooting with mea all the time, the only trouble is neither of his parents own an FAC so would he have to put his gun on my certificate aswell, keep it an my house and then only be able to borrow it? or would he be able to keep it at his house, in his own cabinate on his own certificate? Hopefully someone can shed some light on this thanks very much Ringers

  8. I found an ad for a local gunshop that was new to me, so i decided to check it out, (sportsman gun centre in exeter) and i was just casually browsing and admiring the rediculously expensive purdy's and such when my eyes fell upon a .50 cal, my jaw dropped as i drooled over this superior being, and i came to think, what on EARTH would ANYONE in the uk need a .50 cal for? perhaps shooting deer from 2 miles away? I guess target shooting but where can you find a civilian shooting range that can accomodate the range of a .50 cal round? Im either being really stupid but can someone please explain to me how you could gain a variation for one on your license for one? i am quite stumped on this thanks chaps RINGERS

  13. Hi there, i have recently read on a police website that the legal age of being in possession of a shotgun and shooting unsupervised is 15? am i correct in thinking that a 15 year old can OWN a shotgun on his/hers certificate and shoot on permissioned land unsupervised? Is this right? thanks
