Pretty much any decoys will do. As has already been said, the most important thing is to be in the right field/place. I have decoyed pinks in Norfolk with a variety of Canada, greylag and pink decoys.
Our field is a mangnet for them but we bought some devoys and they were scaring them away, took the decoys in and they strayed landing! It was like a silosock but with a fibreglass peg

I'd be interested in what you found if you did the testing ....
It wasn’t me it was in wildfowl magazine, they did slow motion pictures, it’s pretty conclusive, I’ll see if I can find the article.

I have to say i am not optimistiuc and think the above post are corect, but i will try just to prove it one way or the other for the sake of a couple of rounds and a sheet or ten😁 of paper nothing to lose.
Meanwhile anybody else reading this borred one day beat me to it and have a patternmaster or Wad wizard give it a try on felt wads and report back . be appreciated thanks.
I’ve tried it on fibre lead clay cartridges but not fibre steel where these is a shot cup. With the fibre wad it just exploded, there was **** going everywhere. Same as terror 675, it’s such a small hole to put the wad through it just disintegrates

It might come to it but a jimny is looking to be cheaper than a decent quad bike and I suppose more useful
just in case it comes to it, where do they go wrong? I know what to look for buying a car etc but anything specific with Jimnys?

Hi There,
does anyone know a good gunsmith in central scotland that could do some work to an old auto 5, any help appreciated
-
This isn’t going to work, as wad wizard and patternmaster chokes have little lugs inside them, what they were designed to do was to slow the wad and release the shot from the wad, however it has been proven that they are actually bumping the wad petals inwards slowing down the first part of the shot as they fold the wad petals in, this is balling the shot into a much tighter pattern.
With a fibre wad they are just going to rip the wad into a million bits!

Right gents, what goose decoy to go for? Hope to decoy the fields more and I got those silosock copies and they aren’t the best what should I go for?

I’ve got a 2.7 terrano, braw machine, runs on veg oil as well 🙈

All, suggested Rendezvous point for all folk heading from the south is The Horn Milk Bar 9-9.15am
https://www.instagram.com/p/BWzfEIWlPNl/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=hwhytwr1pnmy
Where we can if you choose have “the worlds best bacon roll” (unsure who the judging team was)
https://www.instagram.com/p/BaWiAf-nn-F/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=r7585ttsw0np
For everyone traveling from everywhere else we shall convene at Seal Cove around 11am depending upon how many bacon rolls the south team eat.

Where are you guys seeing this about? Is there a new magazine out?
-
I love my terrano, knocking about on vegetable oil for the past few months and it’s ran just fine 40 litres for £30

I’m off to Northumberland for a holiday and I’m looking for wee still water that would be good for kids, either rainbow trout puddle, old mineshaft for perch that type of thing! Nothing fancy just somewhere I can have a chuck and I’m bound to catch something for the wee guys. Any help is appreciated

It’s a pigeon watch clay outing! Of course you can!

I have had a load of cartridges from all different couriers, I did supply the shops with my sgc, I don’t know if the shop can verify it at their end maybe before shipping?

Nissan terrano are 235/65/17 it’s a funny size and not a lot of tyres available, I use insa turbo ranger all terrains and they have been good so far
Nissan Navaras that are being written off at a frightening rate are 255 and there are hundreds of these tyres going really cheap at breakers and online, worth looking at.
-
We have a fiat topolino in work and it’s more fuel efficient than a modern car!
-
This is why I store my gun barrels down, any residual oil in the barrel runs into the choke threads
-
My 15 year old Nissan Terrano was recalled for this, it’s a global thing, I think the country’s that are at risk were more the humid country’s rather than the uk, they were all recalled ages ago, they are just getting round to us now!

This may be fake news but a friend of mine who shoots clay every Sunday for the past thirty years has developed a cough. Talking to his doctor he stated that an American Docter had taken one of the cartridge manufacturers to court re the toxic fumes emitted from shot cartridges.
I told my friend that I often get a lungfull when loading in a panic but if it is toxic should they not state on the box???
I've put my tin hat on and retreated to the bunker!!!!!
Best to use in a well ventilated area then 👍

Not got a bus but can find a space in a car for you if you fancy it?

I really appreciate everyone going considering it was such a distance from central Scotland but it offered me,bets in the North East to join in which is what it’s all about.
Hopefully we will get our invite to the wildfowlers next month, I’ll get a post up about that ASAP and some pictures from today.
Thanks to everyone
