  1. Hi I've just been on e-bay, have a look at this item! Item number: 7229608515, according to the above it is not legitamate. Regards Maggot
  2. I know this is a bit off subject but (just as bizzare) last night I was out with my dog and a big torch (as you do) and I came across a string of rabbit catch cages, one of them had a live rabbit in it ...... and a fox!! I took a 'photo. Has anyone seen that combination before!!!! Maggot
  3. Thanks for the advice on the crow calls. Someone posted a method to attract corvids, it mentioned getting a rabbit and splitting it open and then retreat to a hide. I could only manage a pigeon. WOW! does this work! The hide was really well made (obviously not by me) it was a very windy day today, five minutes after putting out the pigeon I had a magpie, then the rooks started to come in. It really worked well, I had tried this method last week and failed due to a **** hide. It really is worth a try..... stuff the crow calls!! Maggot
  4. I have the Acme crow call , I do practice with it and would appreciate any suggestions on how best to use it..... Now that I have had it a short while and I find that it either spooks the crows or brings them in! it does allow me to get closer to the magpies. Maggot
  5. Hi, how did you get on with the crayfish? I caught some (Signal) the other week in Cambridgeshire. To cook I just boiled 'em in water with dill a pich of sugar and salt. The critters were small but it was worthwhile .
  6. Hi guys, thanks for the welcome, I'm not used to this forum and don't know how it all works. It's interesting though. I feel a bit of a fraud at the moment, this evening I went out to shoot pigeons (at 6:30pm) and they came over in waves.... I didn't bag a single blasted pigeon... I did manage a rabit though! As for the cartridges I've got enough to go around, how do we go about exchanging info etc. Maggot
  7. Hi guys I'm new here, I'm shooting rabbits and pigeons over peas. I'm using an old English Reilly 16 bore. The point is I'm using old cartridges , some of these are from the 1930's and I have some that predate these! I guess there are some collectors out there who'd want them before I fire them off. Anyone interested in them? maggot
