Well I go out every weekend unless working which isn't that often.

I currently have a 22lr and 223, space on ticket for 17hmr and hornet. Now the 22 is for rabbits and the 223 is for foxing although I do have ground game and vermin listed for the 223. I do occasionally shoot rabbits at longer ranges with the 223 but not that often,I also reload so not that expensive. Now my question is do I get a 17 for rabbits out to 130-150 yards or do I just use the 223 and save some pennies? I have a Lincoln o/u 28g shotty that I don't really use which is in good nick (v.good) which I could sell to raise some funds but not sure of value, once again not sure if it's the correct thing to do? Also I have started using nv(add on) and I know the light nights are coming but I also have to take that into consideration. I hope this makes sense and would be grateful for anyone's input.

Well I decided to go down the nv road and plumed for the add on rather than dedicated as I have two rifles that I use at night. Purchased the nv unit then looked at scopes, I have a Nikon buck master with sf on one rifle and a hawke on the other. I really wanted some accushot compact but the only seem available with illuminated reticles which I didn't want. Many people recommend the MTC so I purchased a mamba-lite. I wasn't that impressed with the results so searched the net. Blade and Bows have a 3.5-10x40 scope for sale at 69.99 with sf, got to be worth a try I thought. Anyway to cut a long story short they arrived fitted to the gun focused in with the nv add on and I'm over the moon. Very clean crisp image and as cheap as chips.
