  1. My advice is to go for the flapper, then if you really think you need it, get a whirly. I've said it many times before, but my whirly spends more time in my vehicle than in the field these days. Both devices can scare the birds ****less at times but I find the flapper works most of the time, provided it is set up in the right place. I set mine to flap about 8 times, with a delay of 20 seconds. Don't be scared to experiment, and remember the incoming pigeon might think your flapper is a pigeon about to take off, and it too will flare away.

  2. Now this isn't funny. In a recent newpaper they were describing an implant that doesn't require a full boob job. A cup is inserted under the breasts, attached to a strap, which goes through the same incision, then attaches to the woman's ribs. Yukk!!

  3. According to the BASC leaflet I have, under EU Food Hygiene Regulations (as from Jan 1st 2006) if I sell any amount of my game to an approved Game Handling establishment I need to do the training. "Game" includes all game birds, all deer, duck, geese, pigeon, rook, rabbit, hare and squirrel!!

  4. Woman comes home, after a visit to the doctor and tells her husband that she had to strip naked, and the doctor told her she had a nice pussy. The husband went ballistic and rushed to the surgery, yelling at the doctor that he couldn't say things like that to his wife. The doctor told him there had been a mistake, and he had told his wife she had acute angina.

  5. I thought it was illegal to sell pigeons and rabbits etc. to a game dealer, who presumably will enter them for public consumption, without the certificate. I know of others who sell without certification, ostensibly to my local game dealer, who insists that I must have passed the course before he will accept anything. Perhaps they are accepting them on someone else's behalf, who has the necessary certification? The story I was told was that our local dealer just asked if the pigeons were shot that day, and took them without any questions asked. What do you think BASC???

  6. Fergie,

If you are shooting wildfowl in England you must use non toxic shot,( ie not lead) even if you are shooting over plough, or stubble etc. Shooting wildfowl with lead shot is prohibited in England and, I believe, in Wales. However in Scotland lead is prohibited only if shooting over wetlands.

  7. Got the same jacket at a local army surplus store for £30. Only two small pockets though. 200% waterproof. If you make a hollow in the coat and fill with water it's still there the next morning! Not so good on condensation.

If you want to spent more money, and get more, and bigger pockets etc., try Googling Country Covers.
