Mark, I can`t remember if I asked you this before (It`s an age thing,) but if you get any fallow antlers could you bear me in mind, I use them for stick making,or, occassionally, morris dancing.

Left my house in Hampshire yesterday morning in my 97 frontera to pick up my daughter in devon. a 350 mile round trip, got down there ok by mid morning, quick cuppa and chat with ex then off we set.
got 20 miles and the (apparently) head gasket blew and over pressured the coolant system blowing out the radiator, eventually got green flag to come after walking miles to get a phone signal and towed to town so we could catch train home got in just before midnight.
the quandary im in is that my car is over 130+ miles away and he quoted about 750 to mend it, well im sure its only worth 600 ish so matter of economics suggest I should scrap it however funds are seriously tight at the moment and not sure whats best to do any ideas ?

Yep numbers definitely down in many areas as also opined by several BTO members I correspond with.
I think the last couple of hard winters have taken their toll with breeding success rates down...perhaps more than we realise.
Will bounce back though
down our way the pigeons have taken a big hit this winter dieing en mass from eating too much beech mast :(

thanks camokid ive shot loads n loads of foxes with my homeloads but first of something is always special so im well happy with this Roe, funnily enough that's the first time the stock on my Heym looked nice maybe because it was raining and the flash brought the grain out lol

A few months ago put some MTC Viper 8-32x60ir on the rifle very clear scopes threw the day and also cracking at night just the parallax seems to costing us some fox the last few outings!!!
looks a nice bit of kit, how come the parallax has cost you a few fox's? (scuse me lack of knowledge im just used to old fashioned fixed scopes)

Well ive had a weird old sort of week, ive had my youngest daughter come and stay for a week, I left my car in devon as the head gasket blew, ive a dog about to whelp imminently but the biggest threat to my conscience is :-
that all week the youngest has had steak, spag bol, chilly, etc to eat. shes said the food has been gorgeous do I now tell her she has eaten venison for every meal or just let her continue to think everything in my freezer came from a shop and is beef ?
