  1. Hi there should be a few tips in the Sporting Rifle magazine in this March issue it should be in the shops by 20th of feb. I shoot in Somerset and not all foxes respond in the same way.Alot of shooters over call a fox giving a massive loud call to start.Try and work the squeak lower first small mouse type squeaks work well on open moor ground. Hilly ground somtimes requires more effort. You should spot the fox start to behave different in your red filtered beam. Red light always works best for us. Dont hold the beam right on the fox untill its time to squeeze the trigger. If the fox heads towards you make sure you make the calles more distant not louder. Also check wind direction before you enter the field with charlie.Do not use freshly washed shooting clothes. Some foxes will try to wind you they will try to get down wind to smell you.Deer do this aswell once they hit your scent they normaly take flight. Hope this helps good luck with the foxes.
  2. I have this theoben eliminator in.20 cal fitted with vortex moderator. It has a lovely grained right hand stock and is in mint condition with 26ft per pounds of power on tap. Also fitted is a bushnell 3-9x50ir scope also in good condition . You will need FAC slot for .20 air rifle for sale to complete or you could give a deposit while a change of caliber goes through to hold gun if needed.PX may be possible.Any trial welcome a great example of theoben quality. £350.00 ono
  3. If you ever get anything else come up I live in Bridgwater just up the road, I am new to this site and just read your offer. I have been shooting for 30 years but have no pigeon shooting in somerset. Please email if you need help with pigeons in the future Steve.
  4. Go and look at accessories section at somerset gun accessories they have a gun polish that keeps wet out ,It makes alot of difference and it cleans and protects.I tried some and it took of rust that I could not even see. After cleaning with it just put some more on with a clost leave 10 minutes then buff off.It forms some kind of seal and a protective water barrier I have never seen anything quite like it.They are near you in Bridgwater somerset. They sell rifle scopes mounts and are very helpfull.
  5. I have one and find it great as the gun is very accurate .The 8 shot magazine works very well and its so simple, no springs to go wrong and its easy to empty. I get lots of shots from the bottle aswell .There is an American version set at 40 ft per pounds with a larger bottle pertruding from the stock. They quote to get 100 shots at 40 ft per pounds with this gun.Its on utube under a different name I think its a walther dominator.Have a look. Hope this helps.
  6. I would go for a 243 if you have the land for one,It will save you money if you are going to add deer later,You can load 45 grains upwards. As I shoot near the coast the wind is always strong so i load 75 grain bt for fox. I can load them for 65 pence each 1/2 price of the shop rounds, Hope this helps.
  7. Hi I have just purchased a 2 6-24x50 IR center point scopes from Somerset Gun Accessories and they are great, I have used it on my .22 cz bruno and put the other on my Tikka 243 its great. The lock down turrets are a great feature and value for money.I am going to get a 3-9x50 for my springer air rifle as they have etched reticules. Has anyone else used these scopes I have been told they make Leapers and AGS scopes aswell. If you look they have all the same features and more in most cases at 1/2 the price.
