1. £850 the way it sits though the scope is not new. Too much for me to justify on a rifle but i like shiney new stuff!
2. Sorry, yes it's an 8 x 32 x 44 nikkostirling nighteater
3. I like it markm, you are saying it was a good move then
4. I hope you are right, it hurt to part with the Beretta but it just wasn't getting used. The scope is 8x32, massive! I was in the market for a new CZ 455 thumbhole stock .22 but when I saw this I figured it was worth the extra cash. Seems a very rare gun, is that down to cost, being unknown, under marketed or some other reason. The stock and the build quality sold it to me, it seems a close relation to a target gun but not actually one. Can't wait to get it, just down to the licensing now..................the wait begins.....................
5. What's everyones opinion on this? I think it's fantastic though I have never had one nor shot one Though I have to say it's too late because I've just bought it! Traded an under used Berreta SV10 Prevail 3 for it! Gun dealer paid me
6. Make does not put me off..............................can you tell what it is yet? A Weihraugh HW66 Jagd-Match .22..................................hope I love it cause it definitely wasn't cheap
7. Thanks man. I'm at the shooting a year now, it's a nice civilised sport and a vast change from my previous sport of motocross and more befitting of my middle aged years BTW I'm using 32g 5's and a Benelli M2 for the rough shooting.
8. Woody = Wood pigeon. Some of the crows I was going for where a bit far away, there was one I fired 3 at and it still kept going. The gun fits fine, think the problems the guy aiming it in the wrong place Maybe I need one of these................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtmCIJFwkh0
9. Hi all. Went to a local farm today for my first rough shoot and got my first Pigeon, 1 Wood Pigeon and 1 Crow. Just walked around for an hour and a half and saw what came my way which wasn't much! I don't have decoys. Felt a bit bad about the Woody as it's only a small bird, I thought it was a Pigeon as it was coming out of the sun. 17 shots fired and 3 hits .............think I need to keep practising at the clays. I take it that's bad? It was just as good as the clays for £5. In the same time at a clay ground I would spend £40
10. I bought an SV10 Prevail III with the kick off and gamescene engraving, looks just like this. I went out to look at a few second hand guns with a self imposed limit of £2000 with a view to buying a 682gold e. Ended up buying my as new second hand SV10 for £1950. I'm always a sucker for nice shiny unmarked things! There was nowt wrong with my Beretta Silver pigeon! Why do we do these things?!?!?!?
11. WD40 is termed so as it is short for Water Displacement 40th attempt. As is says it removes other oils and greases, the cleaning agents then evaporate and leave an oil residue that lubricates and protects metals for up to 1 year if kept indoors and dry and 3 months if outdoors and dry. It's fine to use as a gun oil but - I think I have 10 litres of it in the garage too!!!!
12. I thought WD40 would stain the woodwork on the gun? +I like the smell of gun oil, don't like WD40!!!!!!
13. I spoke to a few gun sales people and shooting instructors and they generally said Benelli or Beretta for a semi auto so thats what I looked at mainly and after trying a few of both I thought the Benelli was a nicer balance having the weight further back as there is no gas recycling unit forward of the trigger, it had less recoil (though I it was comfortec), had less cleaning and cycled everything. I do think the Winchester SX3 and Browning Maxus are great guns too. I think Beretta just has the biggest name in shotguns and they hold their value the best so people buy the semi's for that reason. I ended up buying a perfect second hand Benelli M2 synthetic comfortec 28" and I love it. I also have a Beretta SV10 and I love it too so I'm not anti Beretta!
14. Hi guys, I go to the Martins Quarry shoot every month if I can as I live in the town but I would love to know of any more like this in this area but where do you find out? Can anyone tell me please
15. I think they are very good as they show you exactly where you are aiming without using a pattern board. They are also good for practising you gun mount accuracy and speed. Mine has a trigger loop that activates the laser when your finger touches the trigger. Think I paid £60. Once you don't want it any more they are easily sold on
