Hi Do you do east London? Daryl
-
Hi What quarry would one be shooting a .303 or a FAC .303?
-
Hi I don't know too much about air rifles but was speaking to someone about applying for my FAC, he suggested getting a FAC air rifle but if I did to buty one that was purposely built as FAC and not one that has been altered to FAC. What's eveyones opinion. If this is right how do you know whether a gun has been altered or factory built at FAC rating? regards

Thanks for all the advice, I am glad it is possible. Stokie, sounds like you have it made, I couldn't think of anything better than to moor up and go shooting. Keep on riding the ocean waves. D

I have been toying with the idea of living on a canal boat, but wondered where that would leave me with regards to housing my shot guns and also the address on my licence as I was planning to move about? Any advice on the matter?

Wow the amount of interest amazes me, especially the amoun that seems to come from people that pleasure themselves from other peoples misfortunes, although hardly surprises me from the amount of text messages being sent within hours of japans disaster. It was a shooting accident 100% my fault, neverless an accident is an accident. No one ever goes out with thr intenion of not returning in the same state of health I will retract the quote loss of limb and replace it with loss of finger, as the amount quoted earlier actually stipulates loss of finger in basc policy. The reason for sharing my life experience with you all is that it would not have mattered if I had blown my leg off your personnel cover is worthless, so if you have family commitments of anything else that you cant afford to have any unforeseen accidents then read p.32 and see what price the policy puts on your bits and pieces. Don't rely on this policy for your own accident. That's all. L

No compensation will make it any better, it is the fact that basc advertise for a loss of limb as 7500 then the small print comes into play.I thought they would be providing their members with a decent Policy, at least one that matches the big advert on their web page.

I recently had an accident and had my Forefinger amputated. it is to my dIstress to find out that our personnel injury provided by basc only puts a value of 600 pounds on a loss of a limb. Everyone should read page 32 of their policy and see the percentages given for different injuries. Is there anything I can do to appeal this insult. Or any action I can take, as thought it is basc policy to have its members best interests as their prioity

He voluntarily handed his licence in, which he will apply for again in the near future, and shouldn't have any problem in getting it back, but until then he has the shooting rights and I am a member of his syndicate, it was fine for him to take myself out without a licence, but is it ok the other way round, I take him out on the land that he has the rights too? And thanks for the feedback, but it seems to be a grey area, where it would depend on how reasonable your fire arms officer is. He is mentally stable and not a threat to himself or others, just suffered from depression for a small period due to some personal problems and done the sensible and responsible action.

So what's this woodburner club about? I would like to join. I have a three storey town house, therefore the flue is very long 11m, this makes a huge difference on the rate at which the burner burns. I put a butterfly valve in is this what you mean by dampner? I open this when I put more wood on otherwise smoke spills in to the room. If I wasn't to close this valve the wood would be gone in a fraction of the time. I was thinking about a back boiler, can you buy them and add them on as an after thought, or would you have to buy a new burner? I have a combie boiler, if i were to get a back boiler or replace the burner, could I simply cut into the radiator line, and put a separate supply onto the water pump? Are there any solenoids or valves that automatically close in the combie or would putting the supply onto the water pump just circulate through the combie? I have a cottager stove, rough and ready, I love it. My only grudge is that I bought double door with the intention of opening the doors, this defeats the object of having a burner and now I have the strip where the doors close restricting some of the view into the burner, wished I had bought a single door as you get a bigger panel of glass. I would never be able to get mine to relight in the morning though, 4 hours and it is out what ever wood I burn. I get it quickly to temperature, then I close everything, maybe I need to change the rope around the doors, any ideas?

Would shooting a 2 3/4" cartridge through a 3" chamber have much effect on the pattern? Is it best to keep to a 3" cartridge in a 3" chamber?
