  1. I was looking at one of those but i can't be doing with all the cleaning. I like to just hose my gun off and shove it in the cupboard.
  2. I guess you are right. I was after a low-cost option, I suppose I'll have to cobble the funds together for an SBE2 or the new Super Vinci.
  3. Hello, Has anyone got any information on whether it's possible to bore out the chamber of an M2 so it can take 3.5" cartridges? Thanks
  4. The chap to speak to for next season is: Steve Clark on 01626 211354 or dwca_dayticket@yahoo.co.uk
  5. This is my first season wildfowling and I am kicking myself why I never tried it before. I suppose it's not for everyone, I regularly come home covered in mud up to my knees, I've been up to my armpits in the river and a few times my gun's been so clogged up with estuary mud I've had to rinse it under the outside tap before attempting cleaning. It's brilliant fun if you like that sort of thing!
  6. Got up early again this morning and the dog and I settled down in the same spot as on monday (previous post). We were idly watching the waders going about their business when the tell-tale sound of geese came from behind. I was quite pleased with this shot. I was using my semi-auto again and I had time to eject the No.4 shell out the chamber to reload a steel BB from the mag. (Gamebore 3" Magnum). A pair of geese appeared low, crossing right to left at about 40yards range and 10m up. I dropped one but I'm sorry to say I missed the second which I'll put down to it being out of range. Another cracking morning down by the estuary, despite the wind and rain. This wildfowling is becoming a bit of an obsession and it's well worth getting out of bed at 5am for! Hanks
  7. I am in North Devon/Mid Devon area, not far from Witheridge and Tiverton. The goose came down on the River Exe. Whereabouts are you? Hanks
  8. Quite a nice photo of this morning's bag with my trusty hound. Well worth getting up at 5am for.
  9. Yeah right. The Packers might stand a chance if Hester, Forte, Cutler, Urlacher and Peppers don't turn up. Watch and learn...
  10. Is anyone else watching the NFC / AFC championships this evening? (if that means nothing to you, it's the sport of kings, American (proper) Football).

    SPAS 12

Benelli M3 or supernova is the way forward. It may not have the Hollywood status of the Spas but they are more practical/reliable.
  12. I have one. You won't be disappointed. Brilliant bit of kit. Check out Sportsman GC, mine was £500.
  13. This type of programme (excellent in my opinion) was the driving force behind me writing this book...www.max-chambers.com . I just wanted one kid to switch off Eastenders and X Factor, tune into some informative programmes and then get outside and see nature for themselves. Just one kid. If I got one kid to email me and tell me they'd seen their first stag, badger or squirrel I would be a happy man. Hanks
  14. The figure you will achieve, according to the guidelines I use at work is somewhere in the region of £50,000 plus loss of earnings. Nah...just kidding! Bazinga!
