  1. The biggest hurdle is finding one that fits .....I had a hatsan and it never missed a beat just didn't give me the "mojo" I have from from my other gun. Went to the store and tried (played with) most and the SX3 felt good as did the Maxus (more expensive I know) but the Maxus had something. I find that shooting is a lot about being confident in your gun and cartridge, then you have only got yourself to moan at when you miss. Maxus for me and I've never looked back ! There aren't really any bad ones out there anymore more so it's all personal choice. Take you time is my advise

  2. I bought a duck blind maxus new for last season and got on really well with it. I 'loosened it up' with 28g clay carts initially around 100 or so then into normal wildfowling loads. It handled everything from the clay carts to the 3 1/2 inch steel without fault with recoil on the bigger loads very well controlled. The only thing I did find was that the removable forsight beads can come out easily and lost three over the course of the season which was annoying. Apart from that really pleased and would buy again.

Had the same issue with mine, a drop of superglue on the sight bead and its stayed on through all weathers

  3.

I stopped in a marsh farm a few weeks back, they got a good selection of clothing, and a reasonable choice on ammo and cartridges.

The guy in the shop was very helpful to, if there was something you was interested in, if you phoned a day or 2 before, he could probably get it in for you, or get one from there other shop.

Its only about 15-20 mins from the NEC to.

    good luck

    Well worth the trip
