  2. I'm near Skipton, often at Inverness, looking for a Leather covered Vintage Motor Case for a side by side and also a cabinet for 2 broken down guns, Also a leather vintage cartridge magazine box.
  3. Thanks for the replies! Some more photos as requested, I'll dig it out of the cabinet and find the proof marks! 0D81BE65-10B5-4744-9580-3B1CBB4ACB5B.mov
  4. I have a nice little side by side with no makers name or serial number except for '3'. its unusual because it is sprung assisted opening. Just wondering if anyone recognises the design or can give me any information on it. Long shot I know! I took it in part ex, a friend had it and bought it from a shop and the description is still online, it reads as follows..... BELGIAN SIDE BY SIDE TOP LEVER SPRING ASSISTED OPENER .410 DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. .410 Side by Side double barrel shotgun with hold open top lever opening. No actual makers name stamped. As with so many shotguns like this the Belgian proof stamps are about the only clue as to origin. This is a none ejector double trigger with fixed choke 28 1/8th barrels. Cylinder and full with 2 ½” chambers. It is actually quite a nicely made little shotgun. Spring assisted opening. Though bores are not as bright as I would like there is no major pitting as so often found in older .410 shotguns. The plain action is bright finished and sports a manual safety. Quite a nice straight grained, reasonably figured 14 ¼” stock. That finishes with a metal but plate. Chequering, though not described as sharp, is still well defined. Not quite sure if the actual gun number is as low as 3 but both the action and barrel are stamped as such and if not it’s an NVN candidate.
  5. BRADY Vintage Conway Fishing Creel with canvas bag and lid combo, basket all good, some wear and puckering to the canvas lid of the bag section and general wear and tear. Also Brady Leather Cartridge bag, again vintage and the lining is torn and worn at the hinge of the lid internally. Smaller size, probably holds 100 cartridges. £80 plus postage.

Silencer and Hawke Scope (can't see optical values written on the scope). Bought as a package brand new from Gilsan Sports in Leyburn who kindly swapped stocks over with another rifle which meant this one has nicely figured grain to the stock. Comes with 5 shot magazine. 8. NO LONGER AVAILABLE - WRONG MODEL NUMBER GIVEN. SEE N EW AD
  9. Just seen above comments a few months late, I hadn't checked post for comments since and hadn't seen any notifications of replies, no PMS. Nikko is still available. No play in the action with or without frond in place. Lever is central, some freeplay before it engages to open the barrel, no idea if that is normal or not. There is some manufactures blueing to the polished action, not near the lever, that is a shadow but lines ending in a point on the upper edge where it meets the barrel on both sides. Uploading more photos here is laborious, just PM me a email address or Telephone number and I'll send loads.
  10. Can I ask how much the screen replacement cost? Mine needs fixing!

  17. Thanks Dave and Lloyd for the above. Some good advice there. I've had three Labs, A big Male with lots of Drakeshead in his bloodline, he was bold and clever. A lovely bitch who was long legged and never developed into much more than a house pet and good friend. And then the one I have just lost to a tumour at 14. She came from a gamekeeper in Dent and despite the pedigree chart, I think a spaniel had got in on the mix somewhere because she had a spaniel head and short legs and was a terrific hunter for walked up game and a good retriever, but was always a bit anxious until 7 years after which she became amazing, I later wondered if she had been put in with the litter from another because when we went back a week later with a friend who wanted her brother, the dogs left in the litter had grown massively compared to mine in that week the fellas mum said "you must not have been feeding her!". CaptC - Yes, Fast and stylish not for me either.
