  1. Have just ordered a teague full choke so have a bit more choice now. Will be shooting at

Symonds Hall Farm, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire. Greys. Down in the valley below the farm.

I don't know that one, but there are some very good shoots around that area. I have been lucky enough to shoot a few in recent years Salperton, Shipton Down, Coombe End Manor, Stanway etc

  2. A friend gave me an ancient Stihl 08S, I have fitted a new spark plug and drained the fuel and replaced with Aspen2 (still doesn't start), can I have your advice on getting it going. I am/was mechanically minded but just being a bit lazy!!

    Cheers

First, check it's got a spark. If that ok, pour a small amount of oil/petrol mix in the plug hole and try to start it. If it runs for a few seconds then stops, check the fuel filter in the tank. If that fails it may need the diaphragms in the carb replacing, especially if it has been stood for a while.

  3. Genuine Beretta 25mm stock extension complete with fitting screws. Came off an Extrema 2, but may also fit other models that are fitted with the kick off unit. Picture available by email. Looking for £20 including postage

  4. If i was you i would get another 5 shot mag as the 9 shot ones dont feed as well.i have both with my finnfire and using the same ammo the 9 shot regularly fails to feed.cracking rifle though good choice.

    bornfree

I will buy your 9 shot mag if you don't want it

  5. Not sure when they stopped making them, but they are as good as everyone says and they are quite sought after. I managed to get one that had only fired about 200 shots a few years ago and it's a pleasure to use. I have had the barrel shortened, otherwise its standard and very accurate. Its probably worth at least what I paid for it, if not a bit more :good:

As far as I know the Quad mags don't fit.

  6. I think the rules are that pheasants are classed as livestock when they are in the pen, but wild birds outside. However, I am not a lawyer, and you need to get some proper advice before you take any action. Who owns the woodland? Is there anything that the land owner can do to help you?

Unfortunately, the damage being done is not limited to the birds being killed, the rest of the birds will soon disappear with that kind of disturbance
