  1. Thanks, I'll try that.
  2. I'm after any traps, snares longnets and purse nets. Larsen, fenn, live catch, mole traps etc. If you have any of these sat in a shed or cupboard gathering dust or surplus to requirements, wether working, broken or indifferent. Preferably in south west but will travel, Must be really cheap or free. Cheers, Dan.
  3. Thats a very handy article, thanks. I've got a young springer bitch which responds well to training and I get paid a £5 bounty for squirrel tails by a local landowner.
  4. I've had 3 magpies, 4 crows, 2 jacks and a jay. 1402
  5. I was in my local gun shop on saturday looking at some sillosocks flappers for my rotary, the bloke was selling them for £50 a pair. I couldn't beleive how basic these things looked so i thought I'd have a go at making a couple. Has anybody here tried making any of these? if so what success have you had with them? Also any tips on materials and what to do and what not to do etc. Any suggestions appreciated. Dan.
  6. I built a dry plucker a few years ago using a small honda engine, a shaft belt and pulleys from an old mower and strips of tread off an old bike tyre. It went like hellfire and worked a treat on chicken, pheasant, partidge and pigeon. As i was a butcher i could make good money doing this, but as was said above you do need a food hygeine certificate, and your local council may need to inspect your premises aswell. It's hardly worth the hassle unless you're already set up and good to go for such an operation. Atb, Dan.
