  1. Can't pm, email me danielbell81@Gmail.com
  2. Richard, your are factually correct on all points, the Germans are ruthlessly efficient with breed standards but outside of those attempting breed integrity, they are also ruthlessly practical. I take your point re: "the breeding lottery" but if it's a gamble both ways then why not go down the mongrel route? Afterall that's how most breeds were established. Don't get me wrong, I have no trumped up ideas of breeding a super dog... Far from it. But a. Air scenting dog with the ability to ground scent and stand steady could be amazing. Conversely a dog which has the stubbornness of a hound and the sensitive of a HPR could be painful. Like I say just a discussioN point.
  3. This is merely and opinion gathering post So please read with an open mind... My business partner has a wonderful Wire Haired Vizsla who I have watched grow into a lovely, biddable and steady dog. He is going to put him to his first bitch in the not too distant future and this, once found, will be a suitably well bred WHV; however, he has offered me the opportunity to cover another bitch of my choosing in order to get a pup for myself. Now the obvious choice is to have one of his pups which may be the route I take. Or... I could take the German approach and throw the breed standard to the wind and deliberate cross breed. I know the purists are screaming but having had working HPRs in the past I have seen the up and down side of close lines. I have also seen the remarkable results of careful (not accidental) cross breeding mostly on the continent. So first question: does anyone know of any Visla crosses? What have they been trained for and how do they fair? I intend to use the dog on deer mainly. Second: what breed could compliment the viewable if a little sensitive nature of the WHV? Lab...Hano...Bav... Third: Is there anyone out there with a bitch who might like to assist in this little experiment? Ok..so unleash the backlash ;-) Pls excuse typo
  4. As per the advertisement, this came with a gun I bought but I already have an Atac so the T8 is not needed. This is a great little moderator with a strong following and very effective and sound suppression (it is actually quiter than my Atac). £150
  5. These pics of the same tent I pulled off of the internet. Thanks
  6. I have an original Landrover qDiscovery Tailgate Awning Tent. this was an original option on Disco 3s and retailed around £500. It has never been used and is just sitting under my stairs taking up space. These are quite rare and I have only seen one sell on Ebay earlier this year for £220. I just want to free up the space so would accept £150. Will also ship to UK at your cost. I have seen these fitted to Disco TD5/300 models and Disco 4s which makes me think it may fit any similar sized 4x4. Nice for shows, races, point to point or shoot days when the rains coming in.
  7. Unwanted Christmas present. These are nice binoculars with a very clever quick zoom and focus feature however I can't justify a fourth pair! They seem to have originally retailed for £150 but I have found them in sale for £60 So I would ask £45 posted or ideally swap for an iPod classic or similar of at least 32gb.
  8. Hi sorry for delay, I have someone coming on Xmas eve but if you send me your email I will send pics. Thanks
  9. I am sadly looking to sell my exexcellent Jeep. It simply isn't big enough for all the dogs and deer trays. It is a 2003 2.8CRD with full and very detailed history including thousands of bills. I am the third owner and the previous owner (Head of F1 lubricants for Castrol) had it for 11 years. It has covered 118k and has been maintained regardless of cost. I have just this week imported a very expensive OME 2" lift kit from the US (this can be fitted if you wish) with new shocks, struts and OME springs £1300-1500 in UK) It has Goodyear Mud and Snow tyres with loads of tread. I have also disabled the EGR which has dramatically improved performance and economy. This is the Extreme Sport spec so lots of electrics, excellent 4x4, CD, Witter Tow Bar, load Cover, Half leather seats etc etc. This is a lovely strong truck which I really don't want to sell (hence I ordered the suspension etc) but I just can't get all of my stalking kit into it. A bargain for someone. £3k Or swap PX Disco, L200 Surf 3.0, Navara, Trooper 3.1 etc.
  10. It's from my Sako so fairly certain it is 1/2 UNF but will check asap. These are the market leaders at 32db reduction.
  11. As per title, Hunter Pink Original Wellies in Ladies size 41 or 7, These are £90-100 new, this pair have been used a handful times so like new. Reason they are barely used and being sold is because my wife has decided that she prefers her green ones (thinks she is too old for pink). £50 + postage (no offers)
  12. As title a well used but good condition and fully functional T8 moderator for .308 £175 (rrp is £290) or may swap for something smaller What the website says:The patented Reflex design of sound moderator has the expansion chamber sleeved back over the front four to eight inches of the barrel. This reduces the overall length of the suppressed weapon, and improves its balance and handling qualities.
  13. Thanks for tip about inbox! 215 65 is a good deal smaller than I am currently running and think it may look a little odd on a lifter jeep? Great and kind offer though thank you.
  14. Looking for some chunky rubber to go on my lifted Jeep ready for a grotty winter on our shoot. Something cheap ideally - looking to spend £150-200 for something partworn, retreads are fine. Thanks Dan
  15. Nice scope in really good condition. Rubber edge of ocular side has been removed because it had a flip up cover fitted. Great German (not hungarian) scope. Looking for £350 (have a PX offer only a little lower at local gunshop) RRP was £825.
  16. Note my error scope is 6 x 42 getting my scopes confused sorry! Hi, I am selling a spare scope it is a 6 x 42 German made (not cheaper Hungarian) scope in good condition. £350 ovn
  17. Thanks for the kind offer but I am not sure the relum would be any better than the b2 for vermin. Thanks anyway. Dan
  18. I am looking for something cheap but with enough fps to be used on close up small vermin for my 13yr old. I looked at B2s but at 400fps I don't think they are really suitable for vermin. Thanks in advance.
  19. Once you have your one Googleplex, I could do with a spare mg too ;-)
  20. I know someone who is looking for a 110 their budget and was 2k but I will pass it on if it's still for sale?
