  1. I am looking to start a 30s inspired special car project - I therefore need a base vehicle such as a triumph spitfire or herald or austin 7 or 10. Swap or sale I don't mind

  4. Slide Show of Gun Images (both)Ok, after lots of interest and requests for pics here they are: I am no longer using the Side by Side as i have a Beretta 20g i am using on game now. I am kind of reluctant to lose the Baikal as it is a remarkably pretty gun with nice wood, well built and best of all its an original USSR model so benefited from engineers who were also building cold war weaponary hence very good quality metal etc. the USSR models are very rare in this condition. I am open to offers to swap or sell but as the rules state you must put a price: Ugrtachea Falcon 12g SBS, 29.5", FC, 3/4 +1/2, NE, DT with nice hand oiled wood - 200gbp Baikal 12g OU, 28" FC 1/4 + 1/2, EJector, DT, Monaco stock with swivels really tough gun thats lovely to shoot - 280gbp I also have a Logun Gun Lamp with red filter kit in the box - 50gbp Alternatively I would be interested in a swap for any of the (random) following: > Good quality heavy duty horse clippers > CO2 or PCP air rifle (non FAC + not chinese) > Fly Fishing Gear (most considered as long as half decent makes) > Breathable Waders to fit size 8 shoe > .410 > Belt Grinder for knife making Got something similar to the above? then send me a PM i wont bite and what have you got to lose? Cheers DB I can also do RFD transfer to anywhere in the UK.

  11. Hi All, I am looking for a budget PCP Rifle for Vermin control in .22 Credit crunch has hit so would like to do a trade with one of my un needed Shotguns Either my perfect condition Baikal (Original USSR model) 28" Over and Under, dbl trigger ejector with Monaco stock - a really pretty rare gun with nice wood and state on the base "made in the USSR" seriously cool! Or My Falcon Side by Side 12 gauge 30" barrels non-ejector, box lock, dbl trigger and lovely oiled wood. I am looking for something like an S200, Falcon, BSa ultra etc etc What have you got? 12. Thanks for your replies - I did mention a working poodle > its quite a specialist breed - he seemed a little put off by their camp image but....needs must. Interestingly since his daughter twigged that a new dog could be on the horizon her allergies seem to be improving - I have suggested he borrows one of my spaniels for a weekend, if she can spend time with them without issue then she should be ok with most things? Watch this space! Have a great xmas everyone!
  13. Here is an interesting conundrum someone can hopefully help with, A good friend recently asked my advice on a breed of gun dog that would fulfill the following criteria: First Gun Dog Dual purpose - gun dog but also something for his children interact with (at this point i am thinking lab) Something that will hunt cover as he mainly shoots rough (hmm now thinking springer) but lastly and this is the crunch - his daughter although madly in love with all animals suffers from an allergy which only kicks off around certain types of animal hair - in general its anything that moults badly i.e. rabbits - she is fine with horses but not cats? As a candidate for having a first gun dog they are ideal - they have a big house, lots of land and plenty of people to walk them. He is also the type to be committed to a training regime - so i am happy on these fundamental basics. So what gund dog breeds are generally less "moutly"? I was wondering if the oilly lab coat might be more suitable than a moulty spaniels? What about the HPR breeds, I havent had a GSP for a long time but I dont recollect them being too bad? Any help welcome! DB

  16. Something not dissimilar happend to our Game Keeper and his 12yr old Daughter recently. He looks after the breeding programme for various Fowl at a local petting farm in his spare time. He stopped in one evening after work to check the incubators leaving his daughter in the Landy. After a short while in the Sheds he heard a comotion outside ran out to investigate and at the otherside of the petting farm was a group of youths kicking and stamping on the ducks and chickens, using skill and cunning he got within range to collar two of the little ******** but two more ran off. When he got back to the Landy his daughter recognised the two lads that got away. The youngest 11 and eldest 14! When the Police arrived and our GK was able to ***** the full extent of the damage they discovered that the ******** had also attacked the Alpaca's with pieces of wood and beaten an elderly pot belly pig. Why the **** does this happen! When the Police interviewed the youths, 3 of them couldn't see what was wrong with killikng and harming these animals........at that point they shouldve brought in the parents and seriously considered rehoming the kids! As for your situation agree with all above - but shop the little ******** to the Farmer and let him deal out the retribution appropriately - an element of which should be hard graft on his farm! plus the cost of vets bills.
  17. Hi thanks for your interest depends how you look at it, comparable second hand curves are selling on ebay anywhere between £150 and £200 but if you were to buy them off network in the shops they are in excess of £350. but I am not looking to be greedy so dont necessarily expect to get a rifle to equivalent value i just would like an air rifle as i sold my last one to fund some repair work and i dont need this Curve anymore as i have been given (under family business contract) another curve (love these phones). thanks dan

  21. Hi I will be there, Plus we live 100 yards away so if we can help in anyway just shout. I am also the secretary of the local clay club and know most of the smooth bore clubs in the camp well. Also Gary Evans who runs Canada house shooting lodge is a good friend and i could organise to have the bar opened one of the evenings for a meet up its a lovely lodge with polar bear, tiger and moose skins ....you name it. plus he has a dozen rooms that he rents out that are extremely reasonable with optional cooked breakfast! recomended!! if anyone is interested then let me know and i will get some more details etc. Nick if you like i could arrange a sporting layout for you on the neighbouring MOD range (given enough notice) very reasonably indeed, although BSG is a nice setup too (just more expensive). let me know if i can help anyways< :( thanks PW great site!!! Dan
