  1. Really glad you and your son enjoyed enjoyed the morning! He did pretty well for starting out! Look forward to seeing you both again! John
  2. Glad you had a good time Steve! See you soon. If any of you other chaps would like to come along and shoot a few clays you'd be most welcome. The website is basic, I agree, but hey we can't be experts in everything !! I was bloody pleased when something came up ! I'll be putting new dates up soon and we are going to shoot twice a month from May. If anyone wants to know how to get there feel free to PM me. Hamster - you only need a week ? Cheers John
  3. I have the 810 (left handed ejection 12 ga) and you can load the magazine without pressing the bolt release button on my one. There is a slight resistance, but the cartridge goes in fine. If you hold the button, the resistance goes. Maybe a tolerance thing ? Guns been ok, but haven't used it much (under 1000) hence it's for sale in Sporting Gun at £350 at the moment.... Definitely agree with those who advise getting it checked by a smith though, can't be too careful. John
  4. Good point Loki, Myself and my mate will be there on Sat. John
  5. Hi, did you get the dosh for the 682 ?

    Best

    John

  6. Thanks for your interest guys and hopefully we'll meet up in the near future! It's good to know there are quite a few like minded folks in the area ! Best to all John
  7. Certainly a debatable point, but the idea is that people actually get out and learn the grounds and they don't go where they don't know. Problem with giving someone a handful of maps is that if the limits change the maps all have to be updated - and some people just plain struggle with reading maps. I nearly came a cropper with an out of date map a number of years ago, which the farmer marked up and his gamekeeper disagreed with! I wasn't going to argue with either of them. Definitely fors and againsts though.
  8. Fibre only ! We sell cartridges at very reasonable rates if anyone needs them Ok, £4.50 for 25. Claybusters (CCI) v. reasonable cartridges. 7.5 Eley first 21 gram too 7.5
  9. Hi Canis, You're right - a bit nervous about going too public, due to security reasons, but you guys are hopefully trustworthy on here ! We start around 9 (usually with a tea & a bacon roll!) Go into Dover and take the road signposted “Bucklands Hospital”. Go past the hospital and take the first exit at the roundabout towards the industrial area. After ¼ of a mile you will see some big concrete blocks. Take this road for 1 mile and you are there. This is also the road where the Combe Valley Raceway is. Happy to see new faces (and a few old ones no doubt). I too remember Hamster from the Greenfields days of a few years ago. Haven't shot there for ages now - what are the targets like ? John
  10. Hi Hamster, Nothing to do with Hawkinge. Its in the Coombe Valley, Dover, (where the banger raceway is). John
  11. Cool, You'll be welcome. If you would kindly give an idea of how many bodies that will involve, we can make sure we have enough bacon rolls !
  12. Hi Shane, Nothing received.... Just tried it and it's working ok, do you want to post again? John
  13. PM sent. PS our clay prices are very reasonable £15 for visitors for 70 bird sporting! John
  14. Cheers Guys. P*** taking as well ? sounds like a club meet !! Always good to learn from experienced shooters tho John
