  1. Good morning ezi bez, as scutt mentioned in a previous comment it would be sensible to meet and have a look before making negative comments, can you therefore please let me know if it would be possible for me to come from Barnsley and meet you, I see that all the pegs have been filled but I am forever the optimist and if the shoot reflects the amount of work that you are obviously putting into it I would happily buy a let day if one became available, then wait for a full syndicate place should one arise in the future. This type of syndicate shooting run by working men for working men in my experience is often much better and much more enjoyable than simply standing in a line never seeing or speaking to the lads and lasses that make a shoot tick. Please keep my details or I will pm you my phone number if that helps. Thanks, Steve.
  2. Hi guys is it me that's doing something wrong or what? cos I can't attach any photo's to my post, all I get is the file is too large, what do I do?, it's just an ordinary photo!
  3. Thanks very much guys, thats exactly what i intend to spaniel, i don't mind paying for a morning or weekend permit, just to tag along with someone experienced to show me the ropes, leaving the gun at home if i have to, and the humber or south lincs are probably the closest to me chris so i will try what you have suggested, but i don't mind travelling further if someone can offer me good advice. Thanks.
  4. Hi guy's I posted on here last month, asking for any advice on how to get into wildfowling as it's something i have never done seriously before, i received some useful info about BASC and their wildfowling permit scheme, so i followed that advice and recently recieved all the relevant info for me to digest. I intend to walk before i can run and visit a club or two through the permit scheme and try it out first, so i am now seeking advice on which clubs to approach that will offer me the best help and andvice. I have no intention on joining a club this season until i have tried the sport first and learned as much as possible about as many aspects of it as i can. I live in Barnsley South Yorkshire so anyone that is a member of any of the east coast clubs and that could help i would extremely grateful. Thanks again, Steve.
  5. Ok guy's thanks for the advice.
  6. Hello, i was wondering if anyone could possibly point me in the right direction, i have been shooting for 20 odd years, just the usual driven game and pigeon decoying, with the odd grouse day thrown in, and i've done a lot of picking up with my dogs, but i want to start wildfowling through a proper organised club or organisation. I have looked at various websites and many of them look good, so could any of you advise me on how to get into it and whats involved, because from what i've seen so far it's a totally different ball game to standing in a line waiting for a flush of pheasants, or walking the riverbank that borders my little rough shoot. I live in Barnsley and don't mind travelling and ideally it would be great if i could tag along with someone and sit quetly just watching, then get advice on my next step, but i don't know if thats possible, but any advice would be great and i look forward to receiving it. Many thanks, Steve.

ESS pups for sale, just two pups left, one b/w dog and one b/w bitch, out of a small but hard hunting bitch ( FTCH Cheweky Wolf x FTCH Chilview Angel, sired by Mastview Benny Of Shearsbrook (FTAW Spenclough Rosie Of Mastview x Sugarmills Sam). Both are well bred for work or trial, they have excellent FT pedigrees and are legally docked and dew clawed. Dog £300/Bitch £350 (the last photo is the sire)

  10. The asking price for this gun has been reduced to £425.00,it is advertised through Gun Watch, and although the ad has been edited and the price adjusted on Gun Watch it is not showing on here.My son has a genuine reason for selling this gun,he got it after he joined a shooting syndicate locally but he has since lost his job so has sold his place and now needs to sall the gun to run his car.
  11. I enjoy a good days pigeon shooting as much as the next man,but i would always put the safety and convenience of the general public before a days shooting.I recently came accross a couple of blokes shooting over rape stubble under a very busy flight line, the thing i found disturbing was the fact that the hide was set up backing on to a very sparse hawthorne hedge about 3 feet thick, but on the other side of the hedge was a very busy pavement running alongside an equally busy main road with a bus stop not 30 feet away, fair enough most of the shots where taken out in front but in the couple of minutes i was watching as i drove by i saw 3 incomers shot above the hide 2 of which landed on the road and got splattered by cars and the other landed stone dead right by the queue of old dears waiting for the bingo bus.People walking along the pavement must have come close to a coronary at the sound of gunshot not 3 feet away.Is it me or what? Cos i think this level of disrespect gives us all a bad name.
  12. Bloody photos not uploaded!!,how the hell do you do it??
  13. My good pal jamie and me after a couple of hours away from the wives but with our favourite 2 girls,Isla and Teal, litter sisters from one of my bitches by my stud dog Mastview Benny Of Shearsbrook (Pip).Pigeon shooting from the hide has brought them both on no end they are making cracking little dogs and great shooting companions. Not a massive bag (15) cos we missed loads but the weather was good and so was the banter.
  14. Lincoln 28n bore for sale, over and under, single trigger with ejectors, bought 5 years ago for my son who now shoots a 12 bore,i had it customised to fit him as he was small at the time, the gunsmith at Brandesburton shooting ground took 2 inches off the barrells and 2 inches off the stock which i have kept so it can be re attached if necessary. Its a cracking little gun in good condition having a few minor scratches on the underside of the stock where he used to catch it on his cartridge belt but nothing major,i'm looking for around £375.00 for it,if anyone is interested PM me with your email address or phone number and i will supply some photos,(i would put some on here but for some reason they won't upload),thanks.
  15. T391,you say your dog drops the ball or dummy at your feet and you pick it up,thats all well and good if you only have one dog and it has retrieved a tennis ball or a pigeon the can't run,but when you're working a team of dogs behind a line of busy guns shooting Pheasant or Partridge, and you have 5 or 6 dogs queing upto present you with pricked birds you need them to understand the hold command and wait for you to accept the retrieve to hand cos if they all drop them at your feet and head off for another retrieve you need be like Linford Christie to catch them. And also dogs are like kids, you have to show them what to do over and over again if you want them to learn, and when you think they have learned it all, repeat it!
  16. I'm thinking of selling a 28 bore if anyone is interested,it's a Lincoln Premier, over and under with a single trigger and ejectors.I bought it for my son as his first gun when he was 11,because he was small set at the time i had the stock shortened by 2 inches and also 2 inches off the barrells to balance it out,the work was done by the gunsmith at Brandesburton shooting ground where i bought the gun from so it's been done properly, not just chopped up,i still have the section of stock so it can be re attached if needed, and the box that it came in.It's a cracking first gun for a child, with little recoil but plenty of poke, and it served my son well til he was big enough for a bigger one. There are a few little scratches on the underneath of the stock where he caught on his cartridge belt once or twice but they are nothing major and could be removed if necessary. It has'nt been used for a while so we where thinking of either chopping it in for a 3 shot semi auto or selling it private,if anyone is interested send me a PM and i'll send some photo.s.
  17. The advice that WGD posts is good but dont forget to show him what you want him to do,so if he will, make him sit at heel, then throw the dummy a short distance and retrieve it yourself, then do it again throwing it in a different direction, then again, and again, then let him have a go,sit on the floor with your legs open to guide him in with plenty of praise, how long has he been retrieving the dummy in the house?,my bet is since he was a pup when you where playing with him, just because he is growing up dont assume he can do the same outside,so if neccessary go right back to basics, and make it fun!!
  18. Hi all, does anyone have a good dummy launcher for sale?,i need one asap,i could buy a mew one but if anyone has one for sale thats in good working order and with some blanks and a dummy i will buy it,i am in Barnsley and can collect it in person if its not too far to come, thanks.
  19. Sounds fun,a bit too far though, thanks anyway.
  20. Hi Steve, how you doing?,sorry i've not been in touch lately pal, been busy and had phone trouble, new phone on its way though.
  21. Hello,I'm in Barnsley and i can make one,and i can gather two more Barnsley lads from Pigeon Watch that would jump at the chance,we also have a team of dogs if you need any,we are all responsible, insured and experienced guns and have our own permissions,so i'm sure we can return the favour at some point as no money is involved, thanks for the offer!!
