  1. To get to grips with how the different fields work?? i will, i only popped over there for an hour or so because it was getting dark..Didnt even get to see all the fields..I was shown a map of the land they own, i think ill need a copy of the map...
  2. Thought as much, i guess in this case you just have to let it take its course until it stops..
  3. Nice shooting, didnt think you get that many foxes in the daytime though??
  4. I went out tonight and bagged a couple of bunnies, one i know for a fact was a clean kill as it went straight through the side of the skull, and you could see it was dead, but there was alot of spazms coming from the nervs, this went on abit, i was doubt the fact that it was 100% dead or not.. Does anyone else get this? I dont usually get spazms this long, this seemed to last around 20 seconds..longest iv usually seen is like 3-5 seconds
  5. Over 200 arces of marshy grass land by the river severn, maize, wheat stubble, cow pastures and vegetable patches.. I walked 2 steps into the field, peered over the mound of manure which was lying there and whack.. dropped a nice little bunny straight through the head @ 15 yards Unfortunatly it was smaller than i thought and not much meat..But i went back to the car with it and the farmer took it off my hands to train his new ferrets I also shot another 1 straight after but didnt take a pic..There is loads of bunnies about also a few pigeons..Good roosting oppotunities..
  6. Could anyone suggest any other names... Preferably from this list... * Beretta * Browning * Perazzi * Boss * Purdey * McKay Brown * Miroku * Bettinsoli * AYA * Holland & Holland * Tolley * Winchester * Arietta * Famars * Sabati * Westley Richards * Cogswell & Harrison * Webley * Ugartechea * Blaser * Stevens * Investarm * Mosberg * McKay Brown This is what my local gun dealers stock, im after a good solid reliable gun, but i only have around £300-£450 to spend on it... Whats the chances that the browning medalist (or fias) will go wrong??
  7. I seen a nice Browning Medalist in the gun shop the otherday, i think it was the 30" Sporter with multichoke. I had the assistant test it out and he said it fit me perfect. Only problem was really it was new and £595, which is a little over my budget. Does anyone have any experience with Second hand prices? how much do you think i can pick up a good quality second hand one for??
  8. Im from the South Wales area, to be more specific Monmouthshire, im also located on the outskirts of Gwent and work in Caerphilly which is more cardiff based. Im looking to meet up with members for rough shooting and wild fowling, i wouldnt mind busting some clays now and again. If anyone is interested in some company on a shoot then please contact me
  9. Im looking for the above please!! Im in the South Wales area, currently living in Monmouthshire but i work in Caerphilly so i can travel sort of around that area..Also have family in Porthcawl so that is more area i can cover!! It has to be police approved, in good condition (preferably with 2 locks on the door) and obviosly it has to be made from steel...No cardboard cabinets allowed im afraid I can purchase them for about £80-£90 new so ill be looking to pay around £60-£70 for one.
  10. Im guessing that obviously during the summer evenings, bunnies like to flock out to the middle/sides of grassy fields to graze and munch down some nosh... Winter wise what am i looking at? up at the crack of dawn?? Just before dark then?? iv got some nice fields but they have just cultivated the wheat....Does this matter? its right by the woodside aswel which is very good..
  11. Dont you need a special licence for wildfowl though?? Any more suggestions??
  12. As the fields of crop are cultivated, rabbits hideout in their burrows, whats the best quarry to shoot in the winter months in the UK.??
  13. Well atleast he shot it another time if it needed it, and not let it suffer keep up the good work m8 Out of interest if its not a clean kill how do you prefer to finish the job, snapping the neck or another shot through the head???
  14. Nice bit of shooting.. what you gonna do with the fella ?? I always thought of getting it stuffed if i ever got a fox, bloody expensive to do tho
  15. Nope, i dont know how it happened but that my friend is entry and exit
  16. Was using a weihrauch hw35, quite an old gun but still packs out quite abit of power for an air rifle
  17. This was a slightly longer and more difficult shot, but i made it
  18. I used to shoot a few years ago, but gave up my licence due to several life commitments, im in the process of re-applying for my shotgun licence to take up my fond love of pigeon shooting once more but i am stuck in that of having no land or permission to shoot on land.. Its abit of a longshot but its worth a shot.. I will have full shotgun licence & full insurance cover.
