I dont know if i could do it, but at the same time if i have had the dog from a pup, it has been with me all its life through good and bad times and after every avenue of treatment has been tried. Do i let a stranger in a strange place end the dogs life or do i as a responsable owner do it myself in a quick and non stressful way (for the dog, but not nessesarily me though)? I still dont know if it is legal ? can anybody give me an answer with regards to the law.

I have a question, i know of owners who dont like taking their dogs to the vets to be put to sleep, and they say they prefer to take the dog somewhere it knows and put down a little food for it, and then humanly shot the animal, what do people think of this ? Is it legal ?

A friend of mine has a "callout" and from what i can remember it has a lot of deer calls i.e roebuck and fawns + some really good fox entisers i think they cost about £150 but for what they are intended they are the doggies do da,s I will try to find out where u can get them and a proper price.

Mark, Sorry to hear of your saga, I should think a strongly worded letter to the areas chief ****stable (sorry finger slipped) and mention of an appologie (fat chance) would be in order. Plus a letter to your local mp and papers refering to a total waste of time. Bloody lucky you were not shot on sight. We once had the wiltshire police helicopter land in our pattern and a cosworth come racing across the field at us, mind you after it was all sorted i had to pull the cossy out because the **** got it stuck. I know how you must have felt (**** scared) law abiding shooters should not have to put up with feeling like criminals and always looking over thier shoulders for do gooders.

In desperation he decides to cook it and eat the evidence. But a keen twitcher finds the carcass and the bloke is up before the beek in court. You think thats to far, on Ebay a few weeks back there was someone selling realtree G-strings !!!!!!!! ( large and x-L) I personally dont go out shooting in a g-string ?

Fisherman mike, Just an update after my last postings, a guest to the forums contacted me and said that he was being charged £1.25 per case and could he come out with me so i let him shoot the field that i had lined up for you (last friday). So we met at 10:00 and he shot till 18:30 (most shooting late pm) in-between light showers, he killed 178 birds when the dogs had finished picking up and shot just over 50 % he asked that i didnt tell you how many he fired. The rents nearly paid now so that will leave me to shoot them.
