  1. I've stuck to the older style beretta 682. Got rid of the new 682 gold e that I couldn't hit a barn door with.

Thought I might aswell be unable to hit barn doors with the older better looking 682

One of my Auto's went but I've kept my beloved 303 for the Benelli SP'AUTO. best shoot of the year in my book

I regret selling my MK38's.....I wish you hadn't reminded me scott  Thanks for that.

See you in the new year :good:

Oops. Must admit I would like to have a go at the Benelli SP'AUTO myself.

Be good to see you out shooting again Chris. :good:

  2. Thanks Andy

First thing, It's the second coming so I'll be appearing in a jesus like messiah styley.

Second thing, I sold one of my Auto's but kept one in reserve for when you make your move on becoming Despot-potter.

    Cheers :P

You ever get another MK38 in the end Anni or you still flirting between the auto and the beretta?

  3.

I was shooting like a dream & on for a 97 with two stands to do, one of which was the rabbit & as normal I managed to make a right hash of it :hmm: :hmm: and missed 4 + another 1 on the last stand to finish on 92 so happy enough.

Never mind that, we couldn't believe you missed the bin with one of those empty cartridges you were firing in when you ejected them. You got the first three pairs in and then missed the top barrel cart from the last pair.

Including the birds you hit we had you at 15 out of 16 including the empties into the bin on that stand (simo right to lefters).:good:

  4. Good fun today despite the weather and in our group Graeme and Brian were near neck and neck, though Brian did have an advantage with his 'special' cartridges. Honestly he'll do anything to get an advantage.

Well shot Rich getting high gun, great score and you did it with the worst of weather of the day. :good: Like you the last 3 stands were my worst ones......I dropped 14 birds on the last 3 stands (no I'm not kidding either, I've still got the card :o ). Pleased to get a few quid though, and the pies were spot on. :)

  5. If you can borrow a Fein Multimaster then they are fairly good at removing grout. You can get an abrasive cutting/grinding attachment that is ideal for removal, assuming the gaps are not too tight. Some of the kits come with the attachment these days.

  6. Where you been stranger? Not seen you on the circuit for a bit. :hmm:

I know it's demoralising shooting against El Magnifico..... :P

just thinking the same thing, tried to e-mail you last week but came back un-deliverable. Weather permitting Son of Potter and I will be up at Lupton a week on Saturday, will we see you there?

    Mr P

Not shooting against you anymore Rich now you're back in the top flight :P (not that I ever got near you anyways  ). Was only a matter of time til you got back up there.

Been flat out with work for the last few months, travelling up and down motorway through the week a fair bit so shooting was taking a back seat I'm afraid :o . A bit steadier again now so back onto the registered shooting. :)

Gonna go to Lupton for sure....looking forward to it......Chard in all his magnificence.

Mr P, not sure what email you've got, I'll message you my current email address. :good:

  7. Jimmy Krankie. A true A lister. That's how I roll. :P

There was a horrible silence when I said 'are you Jimmy Krankie'....she scowled straight at me and I thought 'on shee-ite it's not'..then broke into a big grin and said yes and gave me an autograph. Even went out to her Jag and got the other Krankie (don't remember his name) to sign it.

  8. lady if you dont lead a rabbit you miss it

    same as all crossers

all clays are slowing from leaving the trap but you still have to lead em and keep the gun moving.

    thats a free lesson!.

Erm the lady in question recently shot in the world championships (so probably does know a little about shooting rabbits).

  9. Fitted hundreds of laminate floors and still not keen, though they are much better these days than they used to be. Much prefer solid wood flooring if budget can be stretched a litte.

As far as the scratches go real wood flooring is pretty hard wearing and if you go for something like aged/character oak any scratches that do occur will blend into the timber....makes a nice patina over time.

If you want to know who I use then let me know. :good:

  10. Tried all sorts over the years and never found anything to beat creosote (the proper stuff, not substitute). It's harder to find these days but agricultural merchants tend to have it or can get it and some timber yards still have stock.

Be generous with it when you paint the cabin and get in every nook and cranny you can get the brush near. It will work. :good:
