  1. The place is actually empty though, so I might ask the estate agent if I can nip round for another viewing and take a sledgehammer :good: :good:

Na, get on side with the neihbours early......let rip at the plasterboard with a couple of cartridges.

Yes officer it's as I told you, I was trying to ascertain whether the house construction is timber frame or thermalite block.

  2. Chard if you tap along the board you may get an idea from the sound/feel of the boards as it usually sounds more solid when you come across a stud.

Failing that you could get a small drill bit and drill just flush with the top of the skirting boards, do it every couple inches until you hit timber (or don't if it's block and plasterboard). You can fill the small holes with a bit of filler down there as they will never be seen.

I suspect it's gonna be the plasterboard and dot/dab that's making it sound hollow though.

  3. i was out the other night with team mag, and you should of heard him crowing about the price of dresses, limo..etc..etc.

Should I start saving now then mag?:lol:

  4. Redmite cannot live in an Eglu cos there arent any nooks or crannies for them to hide.Cleaning is easy-dismantle then wash with soapy water (Fairy liquid) then leave it exposed to the sun for an hour or so so the UV rays sterilise the plastic. It really is that simple!

Sounds great, far better than slapping creosote about to kill the little blighters. I've stopped using felt on my cabin roofs now as I found in the past that's where the most of them seemed to thrive. Love the idea of easy clean with the eglu though.

  5. Always had old fashioned timber cabins/sheds at home but thinking about it I bet those eglu jobbies are easy to clean/disinfect if the dreaded red mite shows up. I would think they would find it harder to find a place to 'live' in the plastic. Dunno what a giant eglu style cabin would look like though.

  6. Right I'm gonna say it then..........Rob there is no way she has come from your loins. Your other half must be a stunner.

Seriously though mate, you must be a proud dad. I'm dreading the day my little lass is that age, god help any potential boyfriends. :/

  7. Thanks for all the computer advice but I can't even get the frigin thing thing to start now. I'm on me iPod again. I'm going to attack the laptop in abit with a 20oz hammer and a blunt chisel

Wash your mouth out with soap............honestly, a 20 oz hammer, I bet it's a bloomin Estwing as well. A 24 oz Vaughan is the way forward Anni, it's the hammer of gods. :good:
