Just having a phone call from my game dealer telling me that with out a licence to sell game he will not take any more pigeons from me! I think this could become a more common problem, I pick as many birds as is possible with out causing damage to crops, but I have a freezer half full of birds and no out let at the moment, so any ideas on my next cause of action will be much deprecated. One thing is for sure I will not stop shooting!
You could always do what has already been suggested - just shoot into the air and scare the birds off, sorry that didn't really help did it...?
Taxi...!

I'm working out here in Dubai on a two year contract and all porn is blocked but simply downloading a VPN and setting it up so it thinks my IP address is in London and hey presto - www.porn.com it is, hurrah! :-)

That's it nailed Motty
I think that sums it up quite nicely TBH - good post :-)

I have a dilemma, do I go to the gym for a couple of hours, or, do I stay sitting here and watch this thread instead - decisions, decisions...
Lol

I would strongly recommend talking to them, the reason is a few years back we had a GSD that had separation anxiety and we never new (we were at work) until one of the neighbours pointed this out to us. We treated the separation anxiety and everyone was happy...

There's normally far more interest in Alan's flush shoot at this stage, what's going on? Is it because I'm not back home until the following weekend (see previous post)....?
Alan, just a thought - if you make it for the following weekend I'll be able to attend and then the usual suspects will start to flood in! Lol
Ok, thought not - TAXI....!
Lol (no smilies, using iPad thingy)

Nothing self righteous or hand wringing at all. It is simply engaging with human morality.
And you think the two idiots in London wielding a machete and handgun around were engaging in human morality?
I think not....

I'm sorry but leaving those birds dumped in the field is a pure waste and shows no respect for our quarry - I find it upsetting if I'm honest :-(

I also recommend Philip Webster :-)

Hey guys, lets not sound like a load of thugs here, we're all responsible adults here,a crime has been done and it's been rectified - English Archers daughter is happy again and that's what matters the most...
Happy shooting chaps :-)

Awesome result - I'm so glad that your daughter is pleased - well done PW for making this happen for a very special girl...
I'm truly touched by the whole thing :-)

£10 sent - I really hope that your daughter is as happy with her new cart as the old one :-)

I would happily chip in to getting her a replacement go-cart,I'm sure I wont be the only one on here.[/quote

Hi Alan,
My dates for coming back to the UK have changed due to work commitments (now the 16th August to 7th September) so unfortunately I won't be able to make this flush shoot. If you have anything organised for the dates that I'm back I will definitely be attending :-)
Cheers.

If Churchill's going I'm not going! Lol
Same team then Chris, yeah? :-)

Right, my leave has been confirmed, I'll be home when this is on - count me in, hurrah! :-)

that looks like a nice oiled finish........if i was using that gun regular i would leave it like that and just keep on feeding it every week with oil..........as i said before if you want a glass like finish go for the rubbing oil, but the finish you get will show any scratches up.
if you dont oil it regular (if you deciede to leave it like that) it will develope small dry patches.........takes a long while for oil to soak in so keep at it...you might get a better finish if you apply the oil with cabinate makers fine grade wire wool, then wipe off and buff

I agree with Ditch - good advice IMHO :-)

I liked the news presenters comment on BBC World News this morning after he'd done his tightrope walk - 'He should quit while he's ahead'. Very sound advice IMHO!

I have a 3 1/2 " chamber Maxus that i use in the field, If i'm honest, i'm a Beretta man, however The Maxus is the only Browning i own and all i can say is that it is superb, it has been 100% faultless, it's never put a foot wrong. The only downside to the Maxus is the price, but having said that to have a gun that wont let you down, then it's worth every single penny. I've shot the Beretta A400 that was owned by Bloggs and i think the Maxus is the better gun, and it's so easy to strip and clean.
I concur with Chris here, also, I'm fairly confident that you will not be disappointed with the Maxus :-)

Hi Rick,
Its a 577 Tyrannosaur T-Rex Gun. I use one for the Pigeons.
It take it that you rarely eat pigeon breast then Chris - they'd be noting left of the bird apart from feathers if you used that canon! Lol
-
Hi, did you buy the gun new and how many cartridges have you put through it (approx of course....lol)
Thanks for your time :-)
