  1. Go and shoot at Alan's shoots - Hitclays- he'll look after you and help with your shooting. Oh and the banter is awesome :-)
  2. Scully, I couldn't agree more - at last some sense, thank you.
  3. Where have the pictures of the damage gone?
  4. I bought the HW75 a few months ago and have to say that although it was expensive it's worth every penny and highly accurate - she's a keeper :-)
  5. If I'm in the UK, I WILL be there mate :-)
  6. Completely free (unless you over run your broadband allowance), I use it all the time whilst working in the UAE to keep in touch with family and friends :-)
  7. Hey Will, Excellent shooting mate, sorry we didn't meet up, I didn't even get to the event as I was convalescing after my stay in hospital. If you're out here again next year I'll come and watch you win!!! Kind rgds, Rick
  8. Won't be making this one Al, any ideas when the next one'll be? Cheers
  9. Hey Will, That's goos news that you're here safely :-) I'm actually in hospital at the moment but hoping to be discharged tomorrow - let me know if I can be of assistance to you and anyone else :-) Take care, Rick

  11. The last job that Phil did for me was to shorten the stock on my Browning Ultra XS Prestige with adjustable comb - the job he did on it bearing in mind the additional work involved (adjustable comb) was not only done for a very good price but I could not tell the difference between the before and after shortening as far we the finish goes - I'm extremely happy with the work that he does as well as the way he treats his customers, a true gent IMHO. I'm working away in the UAE at the moment but if I was at home I'd post up some pics of the work he's done so that you can judge for yourself :-)
  12. I don't agree, Phil Webster has done some awesome work on the wood of my guns in the past, great guy and very reasonable on his prices - well worth giving him a visit in my opinion
  13. What if your in a very undulating rural area and the police officer can't make radio / mobile phone contact with his base / station? He has no alternative but to take your gun/s. It really is simple ladies and gents ...
  14. Mentalmac, my sentiments exactly (see my previous post), if one can remember to pick up gun, gun slip, ammunition, decoys, ear defenders, shooting glasses, skeet vest, cartridge pouch, accessory bag, various choke tubes etc, etc then it really isn't that much extra effort to pick up your SGC licence IMHO. You may just need it to buy extra cartridges at a clay ground if you run low... Just my two cents ;-)
  15. I just carry my licence with me every time I put my gun/s in the car to go and shoot - simples ...
  16. Hi Teal, Do you have any of the seats in stock at the moment? Also how do I pay? Many thanks :-)
  17. Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.
  18. I have recently bought the iPhone5s and have to say its a great phone. However, I did look closely at the Xperia Z1 and was very tempted indeed, the thing that put me off was McAfee antivirus symbol at the top of the screen. I also like the way that as soon as you hook your new phone up to iTunes it automatically sets it up the same as your previous iPhone :-) I still feel that the 5s is still pretty much the same as the 4 (obviously faster etc, etc) that I had, it'd be nice if Apple did something a bit radical for a change. The iPhone6 (larger screen - apparently) is out in a couple of months, might be worth hanging on to see their latest offering...
  19. I'd recommend the Browning Maxus, great gun and sensibly priced :-)
  20. White spirit, works very well and it's relatively cheap.
  21. I think it's a shame that Lakenheath has closed, I started clay shooting there and also bought my first gun from PU. I agree that towards the end there was a lack of money invested in the place (replacing knackered traps etc), and targets had remained the same for some considerable time but to be fair to PU he knew he was effectively winding up his business - I'm sure that most of us would have played things exactly the same if we were in his shoes. I really do hope that it reopens soon - it's a good venue with great potential..
  22. I've been tempted to buy a set of these for some time but I just can't justify the price, especially when you compare them to a set of good electronic ear defenders such as the 3M Peltor Sporttac that I presently use - just my two cents.... Also, in-ear protection doesn't offer the same protection as a normal set of ear defenders
