    I live in Oldham and work with a former lib dem candidate and he thinks that the 'Asian' community who have on average 5/10 people registered at their address help sway the vote. Also at the last elections there werr 'Asian' men stopping white voters entering one of the polling stations in Oldham. It was reported to the police but by then it was too late.

    At worsley they do a beginners course, I did it 4 years ago before I applied for my shotgun licence. I think it was 5 hour lessons showing you the basics in everything gun safety related,different gauges, how to take down and clean the gun, gun safety while carrying around other shooters and so on. It cost £350 but I got a certificate from the club and after the feo asked me if I had any experience of guns I showed him the cert and he seemed happy enough with that.

     

    Not mandatory and completely done on my part but worth doing if you have little to no experience imo. ATB 425

    Evening all, similar to a thread I posted a while ago about catfishing in Spain. This time I'm after advice or info from anyone who has first hand experience of where to go in France. Were really after hiring the lake for ourselves. We've looked at the common, napoleon lake 2, old oak and a few others but with most of them booking up for next year now we need to get something booked soon.

     

    So over to the PW fishing gurus, any advice appreciated. Carp mainly but catfish would be a bonus. ATB 425

    Ive got the iPhone 6, great bit of kit. The fingerprint recognition saves hours. You can use it to sign in to online banking and so on. I love the fact it saves all your passwords so you can just use auto fill instead of having to remember them all. The phone is a bit big to use one handed but is great in my 4 months of ownership.     It was on the radio yesterday that shooting organisations have been pressuring GMP to speed up the process but because of the 10,000 licences in their area that they are having to re examine is severely slowing the process down but it's what they have to do at the minute. I've had my licence 4 years and they've always been spot on with me and many, many others. I think they deserve a bit of slack at the minute (granted it would be annoying) but if everyone keeps phoning asking where their licence is up to in the system it's just adding unnecessary work for them to get through on top of their busy workload.

     

    Apparently GMP have so far confiscated 60 firearms. ATB 425

  19. Brattonsound st5 cabinet FOR SALE

    Afternoon all, I have for sale a brattonsound ST5 gun cabinet. I bought this as my 3 gun cabinet was to small but before I've had chance to fit it I've decided to get a bigger rifle cabinet with internal safe as I'm eventually going to apply for my F.A.C so rifles might be a bit of a squeeze.

     

    The cabinet is in excellent condition with one small dint on the left side of the cabinet. I can't upload pictures but if anyone wants any send me your email or mobile and I'll send the pictures direct. I'm after £100 ovno or would swap for a brattonsound rl5 or similar with cash your way. I can post but require a postcode to give a accurate price. When I bought it postage was about £20 as a rough guide. Any questions feel free to ask and thanks for looking. ATB 425

  22. F.A.C licence. Separate ammo compartment

    Evening all, im looking into applying for my firearms licence soon but also I'm just about to fit a new 5 gun cabinet. Before i fit it I need to make sure it is the correct cabinet if I'm going to apply for a fac. I've looked on basc and GMP but can't find a definitive answer.

     

    Does the ammo for rifle ect need to be stored separately or can it go in a cabinet with the guns. All I found on basc is it said ' you can store section 1 ammo in a separate safe' but not that u have to. Can anyone clear this up for me thanks B 425
