  1. You'll be ok with that Mat, just make sure you are not far from "Harry the Cat" when he's learned to retrieve!..As you know "H" has'nt got a retriever but by the way he's started off shooting this season, he's going to keep your dog very busy if you're close to him!!
  2. Derbyshire lads shine again. we may be a fair distance from the sea but "Harry the cat" has put the "ex- pit" lads in the running again!!...he told me he eased up on the lincoln bandits when the clay shoot was on, and said he was going to wait and beat them at their own game, as anyone could win the clay shoot but it would be more painful for them when, he would outshoot them on the wash with a "sawn off shotgun"..., which he has done!!!!....well done "H"...the cream always rises to the top!!!
  3. Theres no wonder I cant sleep 12.30am and I'm having to reply to sex allegations again, thats it!!!.....solicitors letter on its way!!...by the way, whats the name of those sites, only a friend of mine might be interested?
  4. I think they may have stopped making the ".705 10g Terror" Motty?...When I went on their site to order my choke, .720 was the only 10G one available to purchase, my mate "Shakin stevens" (Bob) wanted me to order one at the same time but like I said , there was no mention of one on offer? atb....Dale.
  5. The Terror choke is'nt a "Wad retarder/stripper" as Motty says, that type is actually called a "Wad Wizzard" one of which I purchased for the 12G, inside the choke there are 4 distinct "raised lugs" which are meant to retard the plaswad by slowing it as it leaves the barrel, which is claimed, allows for a shorter shot-string allowing more pellets to strike the target!...where as the "Terror Choke" is a constriction choke... ie- nominal Bore size for the 10G =.775 thou.... Terror Choke .720 = .55 thou constriction. hope this helps..atb...Dale.
  6. Typical!!...as they say..."All mouth and no trousers!!"......sounds like Derbyshire did'nt make the finals board as promised?...still, Ping-Pong did his best!
  7. Feasible but incorrect as it happens? I received an e-mail from the Uk firm owner appologising for the apparent slow delivery time as he'd forgot to post it when it was ordered due to a country fair and when it was popped in the post it only took 2 Days to arrive. So one company was more efficient than the other...I think thats fair to say. atb...Dale.
  8. Yes, makes sense what you are saying but I was'nt aiming for 1500fps, just wondering what heavy pay-load Data is available and it looks as though 1.5/8oz is the max for the 10G reloader. Many thanks to Big Mat & Motty for the recipes. atb....Dale.
  9. Thanks for keeping quiet about that episode Graham!!...I can see another "Solicitors letter" heading out! and yes you're right someone overstepping the mark again. Someone told me they were going to put Derbyshire in the spotlight at the local clay shoot down your neck of the woods but its all gone quiet up here but there was a lot of shouting up here before the event....I take it HCC did'nt win then Graham? atb....Dale.
  10. 10 Bore users then!! ...there's only you could have found something sexual about that!...can tell you was "Down pit"
  11. Just in case any body is considering purchasing a "Terror Choke" and like myself could'nt get a used one through advertising, this may be of interest to you?...I placed an order / paid for a "Gaep 10g spinner" on the 7th Aug in the UK and also placed an order on the 8th Aug with "Wad Wizard" in the USA for a 10g .720 "Terror choke" and they both arrived this morning!!......how can the one in the Uk take a Day longer?...."Horse & cart"?...dont be put off ordering from the states, they seem to be on the Ball where delivery is concerned. atb...Dale.
  12. I can see a "solicitors letter" being sent again, I'm not keep putting up with this!!....I've not mentioned the "Thai bird" since you got divorced because I know it was a very messy carry on and you were quite hurt and obviously, I would'nt want everyone knowing your business!! atb....Dale.
  13. Not even started on it yet H!!!... and also I dont live in Boston or did you send for it?....anyway, I've got my main man on the case "Big Mat"...us 10 Borer's have to stick together!! atb...Dale.
  14. Cheers Mat, could do with the Fenland one, also I'll dig my old table out now you've told me that! You cant beat having mates who are in the know!!!!!!!....Ps ...thanks for the loading Data! atb...Dale.
  15. Have joined both clubs again but I only received a Tide table booklet when I was a new member of each club?...am I jumping the gun or are you expected to get your own if you re-join?...I've received both membership cards but also no BASC cards, do the tide tables come when the BASC cards arrive?...if not I'll have to ask "Big Mat" to post me a couple, my mates joined Spalding again and he's had his Basc card & tide table book for a while? atb.....Dale.
  16. Cheers Mat, could you Pm me the recipe details please, is it the same one that Wayne has mentioned in his reply? thanks guys for the reply's..... ATB.....Dale.
  17. speed on the box states about 1260fps so you're right on that count but just wondered if there is any Data for that weight out there?...my mate says its only "Remmy" that does that pay-load? somebody on here usually has some info and know know. Thanks for the reply though. atb...Dale.
  18. I,ve purchased a couple of Boxes of remington 10G steel shell's ounce and three quarter load, I've looked through all the data I have but can only find 10G loads up to 1.5oz maximum, has anyone out there got or knows where to find data (proven loads) for 1.3/4oz ? ATB...Dale.
  19. He'll have to christen his 12g first Graham before he move's on to another Bore size,.... in fact the amount of shortening he's considering doing to his SX3 barrel, means he'll be the only one down the marsh using a "Pistol"!! ATB ...Dale.
  20. Thought I'd just ask on here before sending for one, you never know. best wishes...Dale.
  21. Hello Trevor, if the gun is in good clean condition and you are heading this way like you told me, I'll meet you down this neck of the woods and definitely buy it from you. look forward to hearing from you. best wishes...Dale.
  22. yes, the 10g patterns better with steel (large sizes) as they're not constricted as much. Steel does'nt compress like lead and reacts badly to being squashed, just like "Ball Bearings" they'll bounce off one another. A good 1.5oz or heavier load, Buffered, patterns well out of a 10g.
  23. The 10g handles the larger steel shot sizes better than a 12g as the bore diameter is bigger so less constriction even in the choke plus, more powder in the cartridge gives it a bit more power when your after the Geese!...I think most users dont take the cost into consideration as its not as though you are firing off hundreds and like most folk have said, there are a lot of reloaders who will just load some to what spec they like, when they're require a few. atb...Dale.
