  1. you might be pretty impressed with the 68gn and 74gn berger bulletts, mine used to shoot really really well with these.
  2. would you recommend the NV then? dont archer have different grades or generation of nv scope attachment? often sorely tempted but the cost is a factor, saying that if it means you double your kill ratio then it must be a good investment.

i do have a stalker coat in the cupboard some where, it is the old style without the newfangled water/wind proof lining, i think it is the xxl size which i think is 44 to 46 inch chest. it is surplus to requirements now because i have so many jackets, if its the right size and youre interested we could sort a deal out??

look at denewear.co.uk they supply swandri clothing, looks like you are in luck the stalker jacket is new and improved! what size are you looking for?
  7. 87 gn vmax and 74 gn bergers, both with 414 and good on rabbits and foxes out to 420 yds. the bergers were on 45gns of powder but cant remember what i was pushing the 87'ers with, got it written down somewhere not my bullet of choice but have dumped one or two fallow on thier ***** with the 87 gn vmax
  8. does anybody have any info about harewood estate near leeds, just general info about the deer and game side of things, a mate of mine might be moving up to that neck of the woods and wanted to know weather the head keeper would be approachable regarding stalking or general shooting, any info would be great thanks
  9. old bill, im afriad to say I havnt had the joy of letting off with a .50 cal, the one i would like a blat with is a .408 chey tac, any rifle that on a really long shot you have to take into account the earths revolution is a must in my book. jcbruno, a thousand rounds later and sloppy groups, hoss the old barrel off and whack on another job done and cheap as chips!
  10. ah! sussed the picture posting bit now?! poor pricket was always picked on at school!
  11. the 338 lap mag is a beast to shoot, you dont want to get too close if some one is using a muzzle brake on it! it is a serious long range rifle, have used a sako trg in that cal, plinking with it still gave me abit of a headache even with earmuffs on. I have seen it flat pack roe deer out to 600 yds, it was impressive but not quite the up close and personnal i would rather get. another beast is a 338-378 weatherby, now that is a ear bleeding experience waiting to happen
  12. try the website Dnrsports.com use thier contact page and speak to mark komorski, the def have the OAL gauge, I have bought loads of stuff through them and they have been really helpful.
  13. have tried posting pics but am having no luck what so ever. i give up
  14. will do pictures over the weekend, will sort my profile, thanks
