  1. I know is a long shot, but if you don’t ask, you don’t get... All my land is winter barely so no pigeons.

Looking for a day pigeon decoying in the South East, preferably for 2 guns, I got all the gear, guns and insurance.

I don’t mind paying for the privilege or to return the favour . (I can offer a morning or evening out in the high seat to try for a roebuck on my ground in Surrey)

    Thanks!

So im guessing  .22 lr with subs ?

But could be .17 hmr also ?

So if .22 .you zero at 50 yds .and the first dot down (irrespective of magnification )is  say 72 yds and the next 85 and then 98  then 112 and 126 .or something like this.

Hummm .not easy to remember and far from ideal .and no altering of the mag with change that .

    Why ?

    .22wmr i'm going for.

And don't have to remember anything, just created a scope cap label with the bullet drop using the StrelockPro.

  3. I'm getting a rimfire for vermin and the odd fox, and not yet decided which scope to put on it, but i would like a FFP scope in about 400-500 quid price range.

I had a look around i the ones that fit the bills are Vortex Diamondback FFP, Hawke Sidewinder FFP and Falcon Optics, but haven't got any experience with any of those.

    Any recommendation?

    Thanks!

  4. I'm playing with the idea of getting a rimfire for squirells , rabbits and the ocasional fox, but haven't got much experience in this field despite shooting center fires and shotguns for more than 20 years.

I need to use the PW wisdom at this point, and ask what do you guys would recommend as a good all rounder rimfire cartridge?

    Many thanks!

    You know what they say...............

"a blade makes a knife.................a handle will sell a knife"................no good paying a load of dosh for a pretty handle..

I can assure you, there are more than a pretty handle.

  6. I never thought i will spend this sort of money for a knife, but after my mate Steve let me use one of his to gralloch a fallow, i was hooked.

Anyone using one? How do you rate it?

Got the Garron and Cael in stabilised gold poplar, the Artemis is due in about 2 weeks.
