  1. Could anyone clear this up for me. Yesterday i rang Blackpool Airguns up to inquire after a BSA Scorpion single shot only to be told that they no longer make the Single shot version. Is this the case i have looked on the BSA site and it is still up on there and also it's for sale on various other gun sites.... Cheers Boyd

    how many guns wow
  3. Have in the past shot many different pcp rifles both hunting and in FT comps i came away from the sport for several years and only recently returned i bought myself a HW97K. This was not a money issue but purely an issue with enjoyment, yes a pcp is easier to shoot well and as a pest control tool they are hard to match in airgun terms...... But in terms of pure pleasure a springer is hard to beat and requires far more discipline to achieve the results than just point n squeeze
  4. There are two airgun clubs that shoot ft and hft within twenty minutes of leeds one is Emley moor ft club which is behind the motorway services and Redferns ft club which is pretty near emley although i could drive there i could not give you the address. I used to travel to these clubs from Manchester and they always treated me well and helped where they could....... probably worth a look mate before you make any rash choices. Boyd
  5. I've only just come back into the world of air rifles after 6 or 7 years out of shooting. I've owned some expensive scopes from Nightforce to Tasco Custom Shops. I.ve just bought a HW97K and with money being pretty tight i opted for a Nikko Mountmaster in 4-12x50 and to say i'm impressed is an understatement ok they don't have the clarity of a CS or Nightforce for low light shooting but they're over £700 cheaper and tbh i cant see why i'd want to spend that sort of money again. It zeros well and holds its zero well. What more could you want?.......
  6. If you hit it cleanly in the head roughly a inch behind the eye the kill would be a clean one. All the kicking n twitching is just nerves. I have only ever shot .177 and have seen it many times with different quarry. I have skinned rabbits 12 hours after shooting them but as you say they should be gutted as soon as you can.
