    👍 was £12.5o from memory

It is £12.50 each time but once again the less well off have to suffer this tax, the bloke has no shame or morals rubbing folks nose in it riding round in an armor plated Range Rover. God only knows how much TFL have wasted.

  2. I've been on a fair few paid days from large estates to the smaller one's and enjoyed each and every day but like you say MM because you are involved in every aspect to get to the point where you can have a shot or two it makes every bird shot that bit more special and the bonus I can shoot over my dog making all the hour's training worthwhile.

During a discussion someone asked me to define where I stood politically.
I said I would put myself slightly to the right of centre.
He said he saw me as slightly to the right of Attila the Hun!

That's more or less what I think to be honest, but not likeing the present mayor of London certainly doesn't make me right wing just a different opinion from others.

  4. It is a lovely little shoot we have done a lot of work last year and this with still more to do ,we release 200 bird's and do all the keepering and feeding ourselves,it's a basic walk and stand shoot with a friendly bunch . Doing it this way gives a lot more satisfaction for each pheasant we get ,for me I love to shoot over my own dog find it flush it hopefully shoot it and finnish with a retrieve. A bit of pork pie and stuff at lunch with someone bring homemade cake what more do you want.

  5. We had our first day two weeks ago but dissapointingly we struggled to get the bird's to fly even when Tom my dog was within five foot from them they ran rather than flew.

Fast forward to today a bright sunny day with some frost still down, Tom had two lovely contact flushes and sat nicely without any command happy day's. He had three nice retrieves after working really well staying close and very little intervention from me.

On the last drive I shot a pheasant that dropped about 20 yards away in the open just right to see how steady he would be, I made him sit for a couple of minutes and just as I was about to send him a cocker shot out and started ragging it pulling chuncks out of the pheasant.

We finnished today with 14 pheasant and 1 pigeon really pleased with how the dog worked.

This ^^^in a nut shell - To the current woke agenda anyone to the right of what used to be slightly left these days is designated hard right, and those just right of what used to be centre are rated as raving nazis.

The bit I find strange is the right wing get called nazis but wasn't the nazis a socialist party?

  7. Just seen on the news that they are advising our proud armed forces not to wear anything that can identify them until they get to the service. How have we allowed our country to sink so low ? This government apart from a few are utterly spineless it makes you feel embarrassed to be British.

I knew Bill Parr, nice chap. He only lived about six miles from me. He started dealing from home at the farm, then had a shop in Belper and finally a larger shop and pistol range at Via Gellia Mills.
The shop closed when he got locked up for illegal gun running/international arms sales.

I always wondered why they stopped trading every day is a school day.

  9. The illegal immigrants have no problems accessing a doctor, dentist or any other health care, around here it's around 2 week's for a doctors appointment and the NHS dentist I use has a sign up miss your appointment and you will be struck off, that happened to my mate and he cannot find another dentist anywhere.

  10. I've had 2 or 3 stone chips repaired and it does almost disappear, most insurance companies do a free chip repair and not registered as a claim as it's cheaper for them rather than replacing the windscreen. Auto glass and other's should be able to tell you when you tell them your insurance company if it's a free repair.
