Redheads was trying to upload a pic of a few we shot last year but cant work out how to do it on my phone. Lol not many showing abt the lough past 8 years r so. Cracking duck they r. I shot a ringed redhead a few years bk i shot it 8years after it was ringed and the info said it was an adult bird wen they ringed it.

Hows the lough neagh shooters on here doin this season. I shoot it myself but iv being working away from home since may only a few more weeks to go and i cant wait to get bk out with the guns again.

2 great days shooting there duck hunter. I missed the the first 2 months this year working way.but made up for it. The season was good got duck most saturdays with a few good days not as good as urs by the looks of it. My high was my new lab pup i got her this time last year and she has being working the lough from ten months and has bein super really happy she pulled off some cracking retrives. Was down at the lough today with the mate getting a few things never seen the water as high theres hides wrecked everywhere. I had my chest wadder on and couldnt reach hides that should of bein on dry land but also clad to see alot of duck made it though the season.

well im gona miss the lough dis year missin the start of the season wont be home 2 mid october wrokin in england bein ere since aprill havnt had a gun in my hand since feb and its gettin 2me now. missing the 1st mornin anit worth tinkin about its the 1st time in ten years wen i started and caught the bug .lol but the boys in my club on the lough have bein on the phone and say theirs good duck numbers about think their jus trin 2 rub it in.lol but like u say duck hunter its a different story on the 1st.

i shot a few last saturday eve and they wer stuffed with hawthorn leaves aswell well thats wat i tink they wer.

great shooting woodcock1 .u wont forget that day. hada get out this week 2 hav ago myself at the woodcock havnt done any hunting this year at them yet. looking forward to it now after seen ur pic.

no ducks yesterday no wind any ducks i seen which wasnt many wer in the clouds. seen some geese flying low up the lough which was a RARE site. Anyone else hav any luck.

Gawleys gate. so far this seson hav only blanked once. touch wood.

A pic of last week on the lough havnt shot redheads in about 3/4 years. great seen them again. was plenty of duck about last sat but didnt start moving to 11 o clock really. was back down yesterday there was 5 of us shooting between use we got ten duck 7 redhead 3 tufties which came to the decoys well wasnt many duck about this week but still we got ten a great num.. we were on the lough for 1st light some hours pasted with out a duck to be seen then we got a few then it went quiet well not that quiet with 5 of us in the hide telling stories of our diffrent days out and some awful jokes . Again then shot a few more this went on to 2 o clock wen we all packed up. so had 2 good saturdays in a row.

me and mate had 3 scaup and 1 tufty. the 3 scaup decoyed great and got the 3 of them. seen a lot of duck aswell in big numbers that didnt decoy. it was good to see so many divers hope its good sign for this year.

me and mate out this morning had a great mornin. 3 tuffies 2 wigeon and 5 mallard. we waited to it had got light wer gona put decoys out and though it was a bit rough for our wee boat so left that idea. the duck jus flew past us the wind keeping them close to the shore. had some great shots. and its also 1st wigeons we hav ever got on our shore never had them before on our part of the lough.

feeding aswell down tuesday nite our turn 2 feed seen a few duck. hav 2 say its the same wer we r they allways disapper aswel come the 1st. boys down feedin 2nite said there was ducks flyin 2nite. i cant w8 tink goin bk down saturday 2 finish tidyin the hide. roll on the 1st.

havnt used the floatin 1 we have a mallard mojo on a pole.the pole that came with it was only about 3ft so we made a longer pole for it so we could put it out among the decoys. and i would def say it works its 2do with the flashin that comes of the wings they say a duck can spot it from a fair bit off which is something we need shooting on big water . but if nothing else it looks good out there.

its bset know as gawleys gate wer i shoot on the lough almost down 2 a month 2go lol. couple of boys down over weekend for a look round said there wuz ducks about gona start feeding every little helps.

i shoot the east shore its about 10 r 15 mins from lurgan. wat about urself. yea the lough has had alot of shooting over the years going by some of the stories from the old boys. it wont be long now to we will be standin waitin on the light to break. countin the days

just hope lough neagh is better this year than last year. just seems to be getting worse each year. didnt have a good season at all poor number of duck dont tink seen a redhead all year and was down most saturdays in all types of weather didnt matter ducks wernt there. didnt do to bad on mallards the 1st 4 weeks then they always disapear from our shore. how did everyone else on the lough do.
