  1. Right.......

I shoot off the left shoulder, however it appears after several frustrating misses and a day roosting today with my mate who is an instructor that i have a dominant right eye!!!

As a relatively I experienced shotgun shooter, always been a rifle shooter with a scope, this now presents an issue. I am going to have to learn to shoot off the right shoulder by the sounds of it to fall in line with my dominant eye. Ive repeated the test over and over and he's right my right eye is the dominant one. This is going to be a nightmare it's just feels wrong off the right shoulder, any suggestions??

  2. I've had success using manual ( mouth ) operated calls in the daytime. Especially when there is snow about and mousing etc is harder. A hungry fox is likely to come to a call. You need to be quick and keep your eyes open, they will likely see you first if your not on form. Get them with in 30 yards and give them one through the shoulders, two if you feel the need with a decent cartridge load that you know they won't walk away injured from. I love daytime foxing it may not be the most efficient way of controlling them but it takes sharp eyes and quick reactions, good fun!

  3. I think we all have those moments when we put the gun down and watch. That's no bad thing. I don't consider myself cruel etc i genuinely hav an appreciation for quarry. Roe are the most beautiful of animals but it wouldn't stop me taking one. I love the countryside and all of its culture and traditions I am proud to be a part of it. Shooting included. Conscience is a great thing to have, and the fact it's an issue for people makes them better more respectful hunters.

    In my opinion lol
